AI WRITING ASSISTANT DISCLOSURE

This Disclosure explains how Miraquill's AI writing assistant (the "Assistant") works and what its limits are. In the app the Assistant operates under Miraquill's official account, miraquill_assistant. It forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

Please read this before using the AI writing assistant in Miraquill.

1. You are interacting with AI, not a person

The Assistant is an automated, AI-powered feature. It is not a human, and any human-like tone is a function of how language models work. You are not talking to a real person.

2. The Assistant is a writing tool

It exists to help you write, edit, organise, and improve your work. It is not a friend, companion, romantic partner, counsellor, therapist, coach, or advisor, and it is not designed to form or maintain a personal or emotional relationship with you. It is not a substitute for human connection or for any professional service. If you ask it for emotional support, companionship, or non-writing help, it will decline and direct you back to writing.

3. It does not keep a long-term history of you

Your current conversation is kept only on your device for a short period so you can continue your writing — it is automatically deleted after about 6 hours of inactivity (and no later than 10 hours after it begins), and also when you log out, clear the chat, or delete your account. The Assistant cannot see conversations from earlier sittings. It is built to help with writing in the moment, not to maintain an ongoing relationship over time.

4. Its responses can be wrong

The Assistant can produce inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, biased, or unsuitable text, and it may generate similar content for different users. Always use your own judgment and review and edit anything before you rely on it or publish it. The Assistant does not provide professional, medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice.

5. It is not for emergencies or crises

The Assistant cannot help in an emergency or with a crisis. If you are in distress, or you or someone else may be at risk, please stop and contact your local emergency services or a qualified professional or crisis helpline in your area. Do not rely on the Assistant in any urgent or unsafe situation.

6. How your inputs are handled

The text you send to the Assistant is sent as typed to trusted third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI and Anthropic) to generate a response. We do not use your private writing or conversations to train AI models, and our providers do not use them to train their models under the API terms we use. We do not sell them. 7. Use it responsibly

Don't use the Assistant to create unlawful, infringing, harmful, or deceptive content, or content involving or directed at minors. See the Terms of Use for the full rules.
