Beauty is upon you, like the pearls of light decorating the lonely night, Beauty is upon you, like the blooming sunflowers in scorching summer days, Beauty is upon you, like the tranquil silence that descends after the death of the day, Beauty is upon you, like the lively fluttering butterfly after days of being in a cocoon, Beauty is upon you, like the scars of the moon that illuminates the darkling night sky, Beauty is upon you, like the first rays of the sun that touches you on days you don't feel like waking up, Beauty is upon you, like the first steps of a toddler getting up everytime after a wounded fall, Beauty is upon you, like a gentle snowflake on a wintry day that melts down your soul's sorrows, Beauty is upon you, just in the way you are, just in the way you talk, just in the way you smile, breathe and exist.
There was a time when you were hopeful, but now you have become a graveyard of buried hopes, life is tough, but so are you and you're never alone in this confusing maze, for we are all trying to find ourselves in us, trying to love ourselves a bit more, trying to be less miserable, less hopeless, less unhappy and we will reach those sunsets someday, those beautiful endings, and it would be worth a sight. You'll laugh at life, thinking of those days when even the sunrise seemed daunting, and now you're happily chasing those sunsets. Even if hope flies away like a feather, you aren't wingless dear, remember, someday the feather has to perch somewhere and it'll all be okay. Even on the dark starless nights, remember to be your own star, for we're all made of stardust, a tiny speck of stardust suspended in this vast universe and you know that you are born to shine. Life begins in the dark and we have to find our own light to thrive and survive and not live in the fading shadows. There is light somewhere, within each of us and when you find it, keep it and you'll be okay.
Inspired by If I could tell you by WH Auden, though this is nowhere close to it's beauty :-) @maiatamarain You made me write, thank you! :-)
Time is our friend as well as a betrayer, It won't last when you need it the most, and when you're aching, each second is the slowest. Who said time is the bestest teacher? Did it teach you that forever is a lie? If I could hate anything in life, it would be change.
What if nature loses it's sheen, when the leaves wilt, when the rivers run dry, when the flowers wither away, when the sun never rises, when wind becomes a dead sound, when the moon never shows it's luminous face?
What if people's feelings change? like in the summers, when they no longer love the sun, like the freezing winters when they turn cold to you, or what if they abandon you like the fallen autumn leaves or like a fellow flower, jealous of your spring?
What if I say this world you live in was never your home? You'll never feel at home as we don't belong anywhere, not even to ourselves. You may say you're a wanderer, but would you admit you're a nomad with no no home to go to?, for home is not a place, but a sense of certainty, of feelings and people you are certain of.
If change is a kingdom, I'm the fallen prisoner, change lives on a throne, and forever is it's slave, change is death, change is life, and betwixt lives the momentary forevers, but if I could tell you one thing, even those forevers is a lie!
