    Rasulullah ﷺ said:
*Whoever does not give up forged speech and evil actions, Allah is not in need of his leaving his food and drink (i.e. Allah will not accept his fasting).*
    (Sahih al-Bukhari 1903)

❌ *Lying, quarreling, forged speech and evil actions*

    Rasulullah ﷺ said:

If one of you is fasting, he should avoid sexual relation with his wife and quarreling, and if somebody should fight or quarrel with him, he should say, "I am fasting".
    (Sahih al-Bukhari 1904)

Whoever does not give up false statements (i.e. telling lies), and evil deeds, and speaking bad words to others, Allah is not in need of his (fasting) leaving his food and drink.
    (Sahih al-Bukhari 6057)

Whoever does not leave false speech, and acting according to it, then Allah is not in any need of him leaving his food and his drink.
    (Jami` at-Tirmidhi 707 - Sahih)

    ❌ *Gossiping, backbiting and slandering*

    Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى says:
O you who have believed, avoid much [negative] assumption. Indeed, some assumption is sin. And do not spy or backbite each other. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his brother when dead? You would detest it. And fear Allah ; indeed, Allah is Accepting of repentance and Merciful.
    (QS Al-Hujurat 49:12)

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:
Do you know what is backbiting? They (the Companions) said: Allah and His Messenger know best. Thereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: Backbiting implies your talking about your brother in a manner which he does not like. It was said to him: What is your opinion about this that if I actually find (that failing) in my brother which I made a mention of? He said: If (that failing) is actually found (in him) what you assert, you in fact backbited him, and if that is not in him it is a slander.
    (Sahih Muslim 2589)

    ❌ *Music*
The Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) said:
“Among my ummah there will certainly be people who permit zinaa, silk, alcohol and musical instruments..."
    (al-Bukhaari 5590; narrated as mawsool by al-Tabaraani and al-Bayhaqi. See al-Silsilah al-Saheehah by al-Albaani, 91)

❌ *Beware of what you see on TV, internet, social media*

    Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى says:
Tell the believing men to reduce [some] of their vision...
    (QS An-Nur 24:30)

And tell the believing women to reduce [some] of their vision...
    (QS An-Nur 24:31)

    Jarir b. 'Abdullah رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُ reported:
I asked Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) about the sudden glance (that is cast) on the face (of a non-Mahram). He commanded me that I should turn away my eyes.
    (Sahih Muslim 2159)

❌ *Showing adornment in front of non-mahram*

    Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى says:
And abide in your houses and do not display yourselves as [was] the display of the former times of ignorance.
    (QS Al-Ahzab 33:33)

❌ *Share false / unknown information*

    Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى says:
O you who have believed, if there comes to you a disobedient one with information, investigate, lest you harm a people out of ignorance and become, over what you have done, regretful.
    (QS Al-Hujurat 49:6)

    Abu Huraira رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُ reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:
The servant speaks words that he does not understand its repercussions but he sinks down in Hell-Fire farther than the distance between the east and the west.
    (Sahih Muslim 2988)
    *Fear Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى*
    Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى says:
*(Remember) when the two receivers receive, seated on the right and on the left. Man does not utter any word except that with him is an observer prepared [to record].*
    (QS Qaf 50:17-18)

    Wallahu a'lam.
    Abu Huraira رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُ reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:
He who called (people) to righteousness, there would be reward (assured) for him like the rewards of those who adhered to it, without their rewards being diminished in any respect. And he who called (people) to error, he shall have to carry (the burden) of its sin, like those who committed it, without their sins being diminished in any respect.
    (Sahih Muslim 2674)

May Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى make it easy for all of us, accept our deeds and forgives our sins. Aamiin Allahumma aamiin. BarakAllah fiik.

    The day of Arafa

  • ummayshaik 94w

    بِسْــــــــــــــــــمِ اﷲِالرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

    *DAY OF ARAFAAH (Dhulhijjah 9th)*

A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:
*There is no day when God sets free more servants from Hell than the Day of 'Arafa. He draws near, then praises them to the angels, saying: What do these want?*
    (Sahih Muslim 1348)

⚫ *Fasting on the day of Arafah expiates the small sin of the preceding year and the coming year*

Abu Qatada al-Ansari (رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُ) reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was asked about fasting on the day of 'Arafa (Dhulhijjah 9th), whereupon he said: It expiates the sins of the preceding year and the coming year.
    (Sahih Muslim 1162)

⚫ *Make a lot of duaa'*

It was narrated from ‘Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Amr ibn al-‘Aas (رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُ) that *the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “The best of du’aa’ is du’aa’ on the day of ‘Arafah, and the best that I and the Prophets before me said is ‘Laa ilaaha ill-Allaah wahdahu la shareeka lah, lahu’l-mulk wa lahu’l-hamd wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadeer* (There is no god but Allaah alone, with no partner or associate; His is the dominion, to Him be praise, and He has power over all things).” Narrated by al-Tirmidhi (3585)’ classed as hasan by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Targheeb (1536).

⚫ *Ask Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى for the goodness in this world and hereafter*

    Qatada رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُ asked Anas رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُ which Supplication Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) frequently made. He said:
The supplication that he (the Prophet made very frequently is this: *"RABBANAA AATINAA FID DUN-YAA HASANAH WAFIL AAKHIRATI HASANAH WAQINAA 'ADZAABAN NAAR* (O Allah, grant us the good in this world and the good in the Hereafter and save us from the torment of Hell-Fire.)" He (Qatada) said that whenever Anas had to supplicate he made this very supplication, and whenever he (intended) to make another supplication he (inserted) this very supplication in that.
    (Sahih Muslim 2690)

⚫ *Reciting tahleel, takbeer and tahmeed*

It was narrated from ‘Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Umar (رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُ) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: *“There are no days that are greater before Allaah or in which good deeds are more beloved to Him, than these ten days, so recite a great deal of tahleel, takbeer and tahmeed during them.”*
(Ahmad 7/224) its isnaad was classed as saheeh by Ahmad Shaakir.

    Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى says:
“That they may witness things that are of benefit to them, and mention the Name of Allaah on appointed days, over the beast of cattle that He has provided for them (for sacrifice)”
    (Qs Al-Hajj 22:28)

The majority are of the view that the “appointed days” are the 1st 10 days of Dhu’l-Hijjah, because it was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbaas (رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُ).

    Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى says:
And remember Allah during [specific] numbered days (Tashreeq).
    (QS Al-Baqarah 2:203)

Al-Bukhaari mentioned in his Saheeh, in a mu’allaq report (969), that Ibn ‘Umar and Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with them both) used to go out to the market-place on first ten days of Dhu’l-Hijjah, reciting Takbeer, and the people used to recite Takbeer because of their Takbeer.

*1. Muthlaq:* Unrestricted Takbeer *(anytime)* from Dhulhijjah 1st until 13th.

*2. Muqayyad:* Takbeer restricted to certain times *following each of the five (fardh) prayers*
    - For whom not performing hajj, from Fajr on the day of ‘Arafah (Dhulhijjah 9th) and lasts until the sun sets on the last day of the days of Tashreeq (Dhulhijjah13th)
    - The pilgrims recited after prayer from Zuhr on the Day of Sacrifice (Dhulhijjah10th).

See Majmoo’ Fataawa Ibn Baaz (may Allaah have mercy on him), 13/17; al-Sharh al-Mumti’ by Ibn ‘Uthaymeen (may Allaah have mercy on him), 5/220-224.

Men should recite out loud and women should recite quietly.

⚫ *Do a lot of any kind of good deeds,* such as reciting Quran, seeking knowledge, charity, help parents, feed the poor, etc.

    Narrated Ibn 'Abbas رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُ:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) as saying: There is no virtue more to the liking of Allah in any day than in these days, that is, the first ten days of Dhu al-Hijjah. They (the Companions) asked: Messenger of Allah, not even the struggle in the path of Allah (Jihad) ? He said: (Yes), not even the struggle in the path of Allah, except a man who goes out (in the path of Allah) with his life and property, and does not return with any of them.
(Sunan Abi Dawud 2438, Tirmidhi 757, Ibnu Majah 1727 - Sahih)

⚫ *Multiplied the reward of fasting*

    Zaid bin Khalid Al-Juhani رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُ narrated
that The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
"Whoever provides the food for a fasting person to break his fast with, then for him is the same reward as his (the fasting person's), without anything being diminished from the reward of the fasting person."
    (Jami` at-Tirmidhi 807 - Sahih)

❌ Dear Slm, Aslm, AA, Ass , Asl Salam Greeters ❌

The Islamic greeting is "As Salamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh "

The least people could say is As-Salaamu Alaykum
But unfortunately many of the ummah nowadays use abbreviations like Slm, Aslm, Salam or even just AA or Ass .

Writing it abbreviated consists of many prohibitions some of them are as follows:

It is an innovation; when Rasulullah ﷺ wrote a letter to Heraclius, he ( Salallahu’alaihi wasallam) wrote: "As-salaamu 'Alaa manittaba' al-Huda" (peace be upon those who follow the Guidance)." Rasulullah ﷺ did not write the abbreviations. Rasulullah ﷺ said: “Whoever innovates anything ( bid’ah ) in this matter of ours that is not part of it, will have it rejected.”[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

Rasulullah salallahu’alaihi wasallam in another narration said : “Every innovation (Bid’ah ) is going astray, and every going astray will be in the Fire.”( Muslim (867) and an-Nasaa’i (1578)

Using any abbreviation, such as; "Slm, Aslm, Salam, AA" leads to the desertion of the expression that is legislated in Islam.

One does not get the reward that he would get if he used the actual words of greeting. A Muslim has to search for what is better as far as the matter of reward is concerned.

*-* A man came to the Messenger of Allaah ﷺ and said, "As-Salaam ‘Alaykum" and sat.
Rasulullah ﷺ said, “He will have ten rewards.”

*-* Another man came and said, “As-Salaam 'Alaykum wa rahmatullaah” and sat. Rasulullah ﷺ said, “He will have twenty rewards.”

*-* Then another man came and said, “As-Salaam ‘Alaykum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuhu” and sat there. Rasulullah ﷺ said, He will have thirty rewards.

    [Imam Ahmad, al-Nisaa’i in Aml al-yawm wa’l-laylah (368) and al-Bukhaari in al-Adab al-Mufrad (586) and by Ibn Hibban (493)]

The narration proves that the more the words of greeting are complete and perfect the higher and greater is the reward.

Actually by greeting, one is supplicating for the person whom he meets. This purpose could not be achieved by the use of abbreviations; perhaps the greeted person may not pay any attention to such words, etc.

Muslim scholars dislike using abbreviations in place of the words of invoking blessing on Rasulullah ﷺ
Because This matter of greeting is also like the invocation of the blessings on Rasulullah ﷺ. How many of us still use to write PBUH or SAW today ? Are we that busy ?

And Naudzubillahi mindzalik , nowadays muslim even seems to be fine to shorten the attributes we use to Address Allah ; Azza wa Jalla to be Awj something and Subhan wa ta’ala to be SWT . Wallahi , in the name of the most high, Azza wa Jalla or subhana wa ta’ala is heavier than the seven heavens and the earth and whatever it contains ! So how dare us to shorten them up?

Qur'aanic style and Islamic teachings reject using the abbreviation "Slm" or "Aslm". So, it should be avoided.

The sunnah of giving salam is to write “Assalamualaikum” in full. Abbreviating the salam will not render the sunnah to be fulfilled.

Replying to salam is obligatory upon a Muslim but if someone gave the salam in the abbreviated/innovated way, it is not obligatory to reply to the salam.

Therefore, anyone who messages any of our Admins or even here in the group with these abbreviated/innovated salams and the like that we mentioned above , will not get a response.

So sisters and brothers please make an effort and spare a few seconds more to type the Salam properly and earn rewards in shaa Allah ..

May Allah Grant us a deeper understanding.

أقول قولي هذا وأستغفر الله لي ولكم

    Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh

    *_The Bid’ah of Sha’ban - Shab a Barat_*

*_My brothers and Sisters , There is nothing in the sharia of Islam to enjoin us to celebrate the day you are asking about ._* Some Muslims celebrate the middle of Sha‘baan, fasting on that day and spending that night in prayer (qiyaam). There is a hadeeth concerning that which is NOT Sahih, hence the scholars regarded celebrating this day as an innovation (bid ‘ah).

Muhammad ‘Abd al-Salaam al-Shuqayri said: Imam al-Fatni said in Tadhkirat al-Mawdoo‘aat: *_Among the innovations that have been introduced on “Laylat an-Nusf”  (mid-Sha‘baan) is al-Salaat al-Alfiyyah, which is one hundred rak‘ahs in which Soorat al-Ikhlaas is recited ten times in each rak‘ah, offered in congregation; they pay more attention to this than to Jumu‘ah and Eid prayers, although there is no report concerning it, except da‘eef (weak) and mawdoo‘ (fabricated) reports, and we should not be deceived by the fact that these reports were quoted by the authors of al-Qoot and al-Ihya’ and others, nor should we be deceived by what was mentioned in Tafseer al-Tha‘labi, that it is Laylat al-Qadr. End quote._*

Al-‘Iraaqi said: *_The hadith about the prayer on Laylat al-Nisf (mid-Sha‘baan) is false. Ibn al-Jawzi narrated it in al-Mawdoo‘aat (which is a compilation of fabricated hadiths )_*

Chapter on the Hadith, prayer and supplication on Laylat al-Nisf:
The hadith , “When the night of ‘nisf Sha‘baan’ (mid-Sha‘baan) comes, spend the night in prayer and fast on that day” was narrated by Ibn Maajah from ‘Ali. Muhashiyyah said: (It was also narrated) in al-Zawaa’id. *Its isnaad is da‘eef (weak) because of the weakness of Ibn Abi Basrah, of whom Ahmad and Ibn Ma‘een said: He fabricates hadeeth. End quote.*

Praying six rak‘ahs on Laylat al-Nisf with the intention of warding off calamity, having a long life and being independent of people, and reciting Ya-Seen and offering du‘aa’ in between that -- *there is no doubt that this is something that has been introduced into the religion and is contrary to the Sunnah of Rasulullah salallahu’alaihi wasallam ( bid’ah )* . The commentator on al-Ihya’ said: This prayer is well known in the books of later Sufi masters, but I have not seen any saheeh report in the Sunnah to support it and the connected du‘aa’. Rather this is the action of some shaykhs. Our companions said: It is makrooh to gather on any of the nights mentioned in the mosques or elsewhere. Al-Najm al-Ghayti said, describing spending the night of al-Nisf min Sh‘baan (mid-Sha‘baan) praying in congregation: That was denounced by most of the scholars of the Hijaz, including ‘Ata’ and Ibn Abi Mulaykah, the fuqaha’ of Madinah and the companions of Maalik. *They said: All of that is an innovation (bid‘ah) and there is no report to suggest that the Prophet spent that night in praying in congregation or that his Companions did that either.*

Al-Nawawi said: *The prayers of Rajab and Sha‘baan are two reprehensible innovations.* End quote from al-Sunan wa’l-Mubtada‘aat, p. 144

In essence , *_there is no celebration in Sha‘baan and there is no special act of worship to be performed in the middle of it or during the last days of the month. Doing that is an innovation that has been introduced into the religion._*
*Rasulullah Salallahu’alaihi wasallam said : “Every innovation is going astray, and every going astray will be in the Fire.” ( Sahih Muslim 867 and Sunan Am Nasa’i 1578)*

    *Wallahu Ta’ala a’lam*
