Happy Pride month to all the out nd proud nd still in closet members of LGBTIQ community! "Pride" is not about being treated special. It's about celebrating equality nd love! Sending some love nd support to all of u! Nd to the one's still hiding behind a false identity, I just want to tell u that it's all right to feel what u r feeling right now... Pressure from society, struggling with ur own thoughts, it'll all pass away! Living as someone who u r not is not easy. It can feel like u r suffocating in ur own body. Trust me, u'll feel much better once u accept who u truly r! The people who really really care about u, who love u, will eventually make peace with who u r nd u'll feel so free. But the very first step towards that freedom is to accept it that u r born certain way nd u'll be like this for the rest of ur life. If u deny it, no one else will accept it too!
Aayasha was an 11 years old Indian girl who used to dress up like a tomboy. With short hair, loose shirt, knee length trousers it was really hard to figure out that she was a girl! She was just done with people thinking that her parents had two sons with her being the elder one. So one summer she decided to change things a bit. She and her brother were going to stay with their cousins during this summer vacation almost for a week so she went for shopping with her mother. This was for the first time she went to the girls section. After trying almost every possible outfit that could fit her, she finally settled on a pink t-shirt with a bear sketch and a pair of black leggings. She was on cloud nine and couldn't wait to show her cousins her new look. Finally the day came nd she was all set to get some compliments from her cousins nd aunt but all she got was that these girly clothes don't suit her. That was maybe because they've never seen her like this, like a girl! But she was in love with this new Aayasha. So she ignored everything nd started playing with her cousins. Afterall that's what she was there for, spending some quality time, taking break from studies. Her uncle was a big fan of those "black waters" and "anaconda" type movies. You know, the ones with humans trying to act heroes with some wild animals nd something goes wrong. Yaah! Something always goes wrong! She hated these movies because they gave her hard time sleeping with all sorts of nightmares. But here she was, sitting on one corner of the bed, surrounded by her cousins, their parents, her brother and these two random boys who were brothers and were also there to spend this vacation with their grandparents but were now watching a creepy, halloween vibes movie with them. She was used to getting scared nd then made fun of while watching these movies. Snakes, in particular, creeped her out the most so she was just waiting for that moment to come when she can finally get up nd leave that room. Three men, two women, all from different but connected backgrounds setting up a camp in middle of a forest waiting for their prey to fall right into their trap so they can shoot it with some tranquilizer nd leave a tracker on it's body so it could lead them directly to it's hideout with others of it's kind. And here it came, a giant anaconda crawling on the forest floor, they shot it but as I said, something always goes wrong. They missed the shot nd the snake climbed up a tree. It took a leap nd there it was, the moment she was waiting for. One of the three men was hanging in air between the strong teeth of that reptile. She closed her eyes out of fear nd felt something lifting her t-shirt from back. She froze! She just couldn't move, couldn't breathe. She was so confused nd afraid to look back! It was something cold, she felt it but she was sweating. She just wanted to shout but it was as if she has swallowed her tongue. She was paralyzed in that moment. Everything on that TV screen, the voices of people shouting nd running, her uncle nd cousins discussing the reality of the scene, it all just started fading away. She was no longer there in that moment. All she could feel was the cold disgust gradually moving up nd down, up nd down! After a while, she was so numb that she couldn't even feel that touch anymore! She wanted to run as if hell hounds were chasing her but she couldn't. She just couldn't move. She heard her cousins laughing, she felt her breath coming back to normal pace, she saw the snake crawling back retracing it's path, four people lying on the floor nd she finally turned back. She turned back hoping it was just another hallucination that she usually had after watching these creepy movies but deep down she knew it wasn't the same feeling.
