उलफ़त के उस शहर में भी बहुत तन्हा थे हम
इश्क की चादर में महफूज़ थे आशिक़, और तेरे बिना बेपनाह थे हम
हमे चाहने वाले बहुत थे उधर
पर सिर्फ तेरी एक झलक पाने के लिए खुद को फना कर चुके थे हम।

Aloofness
Betrayals and backstabbers gave me
Chaos had taken over calm with no sign of peace
Drenched with simplicity your ethereal form held me
Ectcasy was worn by my heart, benovelence replaced betrayals
Finally my heart found solace in your arms.

I wish my phone vibrates with your name
I would laugh out harder on your jokes, lame
Tears of happiness would shed when you talk to me
Butterflies in my stomach when you take me on a romantic spree
My hands would shiver holding your hands for a while
My heart would be filled with ectcasy, seeing you smile
Lips would be thirsty, waiting for you to quench my thirst
My cheeks would blush, waiting for you to propose me first
And when you hold me tight I would squish
Oh God! I forgot it was just a dream, a wish.

and I was a baby bird just learning to fly,
my first taste of poetic skies
came in cautiously arranged metaphors
and imagery borrowed from hill stations
and oceans,
I flapped my wings, slowly and
with every new day that dawned,
I explored new sections of the sky,
I learnt to travel with the strong winds
of a Haiku
and learnt how to dip my wings in lakes
of Odes.
I'm not a perfect flyer yet,
but I'm getting there and
I find new parcels of the sky to explore, everyday

Once upon eternity
Creation penned down a poem
Born from chaos and clad with mystery
A poem spanning infinity
Titled "The Universe"
Its verses housed everything
And nothing simultaneously
Dark voids marked
Its obscure stanzas
Yet still they brimmed with
Celestial secrets
Prompting many an epiphany
Its metaphors and rhymes
Recite forgotten tales
Like the starcrossed love
of the sun and moon
And sing eulogies in gloom
For lost planets scorched aflame
In ancient colliding games
Human beings can fathom
Only but a fragment of this
Cosmic poem
Bejeweled creatures, bewitching sunrise
Fire bleeding dusk and
Raindrop spun skies
Are but specks of beauty
In creation's poetry
Rest of her archaic verses
Remain shrouded in enigma
Our world composed by her pen
We are no heroes nor monarchs
In creation's resplendent sky
We'll only ever be
A twinkle in her eyeCreation and her poetry

We are in the modern age of speed dating,
Just following the trend without any feeling
All ready to mingle,whether committed or single,
Finding true love is a never ending struggle
People look awesome in different filters,
No wonder Instagram has so many users
Happening life is showcased through a lens,
People are slowly forgetting their real selves
Everyone is swiping left or right,
Just to find someone alright
Judging from the biological symmetry,
Finding true love is a distant mystery
People preach to end this bigotry,
While others work on their chemistry
Some who are bestowed with beauty,
Don't understand the concept of loyalty
Those who are blessed with relationship,
For paltry reasons break up their ship
Life is not about quotes and poetry,
But who will explain it to the society
Everyone keeps worshiping their deity,
To find a perfect match without any clarity
