One thing I know wherever I go my heart's in Cape Breton, it will always be so
Wherever a fiddler rosins his bow my first and last thoughts are of home.

I am searching for a man strong enough to carry the cross that is living with my mind.

The Boxer
I don't know when the Boxer set foot in our lives or where he came from. I've watched him grow older but never loosing a bit of solidity. The Boxer stands there in the corner of my life occuping the corner of my heart. He is strong in God and with that knowledge I know
That old Boxers can never lose because he had no intention of ever losing.

I'll never know how much it cost, to see my sin up on the cross.

I sat outside with my old man as a plane flew over our heads. He looked up and said "those where the days." And I wanted to climb back through the years with him but I didn't leave my chair....

Wisdom from the old folks
You can't swing a cat on the island without hitting a relative. -

I felt the sun for the first time in a while. March was going out like a lamb. I felt the dry sawdust of winter brush against my frost covered face for so long, I have known nothing else. If He had seen the end of sorrow then and I shall too.
