    To vast skies

In morning blues, I am the uninvited spectator of your orange hues. I paint sceneries of my mind on your canvas and cover them with clouds. They are a secret, between you and me. I witness you, burning under the scorching sun, just like I have burnt my ten fingers for holding someone too tight, for too long. We meet at 6:00, during evening tea, to watch gazillion birds, fly back to their nest. I will fly back to you, one day. Then, maybe then, we both will find our peace, amongst stars and the moon.

    Your only friend.

    Love

    If love isn't- believing
    when the entire world
    Questions your beliefs.
    Standing on your two feet,
To become a tree, too tall,
    To become the shade,
    When your lover grieves.
    To spread your arms,
Too wide, like the night sky,
And hang up one million stars
    Like hanging one million smiles.
To become good words that stains
    The heart, like pressed flowers
    Between old books and novels.
    That stains the sheets.
    To become the hand, that
    Prays, feeds, rubs your back,
    Wipes your tears, and becomes
A hand you can hold, always.
To become the eyes, that cry,
With you, for you, and tell you
Even with silent lips, that this
Is just another phase, here to pass.
    To become the patience,
To let you find your own peace
    When tragedy hits, and chaos
    Has crushed you in splits.
If love isn't all these things,
Then I don't even want love.

    Feather

I met a naked bird today,
    A bird without feathers.
    Lounging under the sun,
    Celebrating the weather.
    The feathers were hung
Up to dry, on the fence.
    They were drenched, said
The bird, with tears and sweat.
Now I am a naked human.
With skin hung up to dry.
I am praying, that sunlight seals
Wounds, I wish to say goodbye.

    Ghost

    What a tragedy.
    To be able to see,
    Through the shutters
    Of other fellow beings.
    I soak their sorrows,
    To cry their tears.
    I eat their horrors,
    To allay their fears.
    The ghost of my happiness:
    Now follows me.

    What a tragedy.
    To be able to dream
    Through wide eyes
    Cryptic dreams.
    I sail through clouds
    To die as rain.
    I reside in thunder loud
    To die on plains.
    The ghost of my happiness:
    Now follows me.

    What a tragedy.
    To be able to feel
    Through my heart
    Grief struck symphonies.
    I engrave each note
In the layers of my skin.
    I burn my timber
    To cure their sins.
    The ghost of my happiness:
    Now follows me.

    Autumn cries

    He was the summer kiss,
    In my winter rain.
    He was the soothing bliss,
    In my aching pain.
    He was the blowing wind,
    In my still lake.
    He was the orange rind,
    In my chocolate cake.
    He was the unpolished words,
    In my polished poetries.
    He was the red romance,
    In my pink peonies.
He was the dreams I dreamt,
    In my wakeful eyes.
He is the lover I mourn,
    In my autumn cries.
    I thought that love would,
    last forever: I was wrong.

    Pandora's box

    Two lovers found,
    A pandora's box.
    Curiosity muttered,
    "It could be a paradox".
A Sinner did the sin again,
The lid was opened, once again.
Curses flew up in the air.
    Tragedy struck on love affair.
But can ever be lust reversed?
    Witness two separate paths,
    The lovers now traverse.

    Human Life and Nature

    In the grave
    You have been lowered.
    Stillness surrounds
    Your veins, heart and eyes.
    It's nothing, but
    The fragility of human life.

    Over the grave,
    Mosses meet tulips and roses.
    In the skies hover
    Butterflies and tiny creatures.
    It's nothing, but
    The perpetuation of mighty nature.

    Pathetic fallacy

    It was a lonely day.
    No one to rescue me.
    So i ventured out
    Into nature's company.
    Smiling sunflowers
    Winked back at me.
    The blowing wind
    Sang A song of glee.
    The flowing river
    Danced under my feet.
    The blue sky above
    Painted pink sceneries.
    A little butterfly
    Befriended A Bee.
    Together, they shared
    A pot of honey.
    As I recite, my journey
    Midnight moon, hears me.
"It was a happy day, to be.
It's a happy life, to be."

    Cake

    Oh the buttercream.
    Buttery, sugary and dreamy.
    Did I utter dreamy?
    I meant Creamy.
    Sponge like a pillow.
    Soft, cushiony and airy.
    Cake to me,
    Is always parallel for magic.
    Inside the oven,
    Inside the mouth.
    Magic.
    Cake to me,
    Is always first love.
    You come second.
And when life will hit you,
    I will always bake,
    For you, A cake.
I will present it to you,
    Till A bite you take,
And utter with A smile on face
    "Buttery, sugary and dreamy.
    Soft, cushiony and airy"
