i am going to die;
beautifully.
if i say not to cry on my death bed,
it would be too cliche and unnatural.
weep all you want.
because it would be the last time
you would be seeing me.
and somewhere there,
i will be standing with no feet.
at the corner of the room.
seeing you in tears.
it makes me saddened too.
but no way that i could come back.
yet, i will leave you all.
beautifully with a smile
and contentment
that i could feel the world
at least once,
though it gave me
a bit of bitter too. -

"o look there!
the sky is naked."
"aren't you ashamed?
the entire universe is looking at you. put some blanket over the body.
or else what do you think they have in their wily eyes?
wily eyes or the eerie night,
why always blaming it on sky?
day or night, sky is always there.
glowing deeply for itself.
close your eyes.
go back to sleep,
if it evokes the foulness in you..
-

oh! my heart is shrinking.
from the ache of you.
child, do not be tired.
you may get wounded.
but keep walking.
keep hoping.
the light is coming
closer
and
closer
to you..

women are fierce.
but no one dares to keep the heads up.
no one exalt their power
of conquering the world themselves.
when all she needs is little patience
to carry the life ahead.
despite the beasts waiting.
in line.
Happy Women's Day to all the incredible women out there.! No matter what, keep fighting for your world, for your freedom of speech, freedom of action..

i want to spit all the words
in my heart
with warmness.
leaving all my verses
to time,
i will travel through the world.
grasping every inch of
tenderness the world gives me.
reaching out for every smile
in faces i meet.
the wilderness calls me again
to roam through the wind,
dust and water.
to rove to infinity..

cold.
numb.
i have blurred memories of you. stronger my tears are,
harder it takes to climb.
i am drowning.
/tonight,
i will be seen
in the coldest part of
our smashed old stories/.
-
shades_and_reflections 67w
my pretty sky!
i grabbed you
in my arms
and ran so far away
from the sun.
and i know
it would be alright
to hold you
even my hands
would burn
from your presence..
-
shades_and_reflections 69w
the space between us is
growing from
smiles to miles.
miles of distance
falling in different dimensions.
as though
we are climbing
different hills.
maybe we have been hearing "not okay" as "all good".
/finding home in different places!/.
-
shades_and_reflections 69w
i write this for you,
for your heart
where your stars dance.
where you flourish
and burn together.
where you die in words.
this is you
with softened quill in palm
and kindness in heart.
leaving zillions of verses
through lustrous eyes of yours
to the world.
moving a fine white stroke
in the sky.
you bleed not ink.
but glitters.
glitters of pain. love. life.
and many more..

There was tinge of sadness in her voice, a groan of regret in her music and saltness of tears in her eyes; but again the nightingale didn't sway high in the wind to dry her damp wings. She closed her eyes before the rose was born. He, the nightingale, mused at the red beauty that was born from her own blood, the red rose that was immensely crimson red in colour; he felt frustrated, even more, each moment he mused at its beauty, he missed his love though.
The moon had disconsolateness in its bright smile. It asked to the immaculate beauty of his voice silently, "Will you please sing for her?". He raised his head with an unusual rage. His corsucating eyes had the cumulative effect of love for her wings and the tears that errupted out of his eyes. He flew to the red rose, sat near his nightingale, kept his wings close to hers and sang for his love. The darkness made him blind. Yet he embraced the warmth of the blood that had flown through the veins of the plant. He came and sat near the red rose. It was delicate; but beautiful than the most precious stones, pearls or diamonds of this world.
He had been living all these days to let go off his shy to talk to her. He had amusedly pondered at her while she had used to sit on the branches of the tree, singing mellifluous melodies to the world. He always wanted to tell her, his love for the most compassionate of beings on this earth. She never knew of him. And then now, when he just gathered the valour to sit with her on a branch and accompany to sing a melody, she wasn't there in her favourite tree. Flying through all these distances he came in search of her, where now she is no more. The nightingale who gave her life for the love of a boy; he felt proud of her. He plucked the thorn away and her veins were all dry. Her wings were strong but lifeless. He didn't cry. But when the rose plant remarked, "May be she loved you too.", he didn't turn his head. "How do you know?" He asked while he took her in his wings, floating in the air. The rose plant took a deep sigh, "Her voice cried for lost love and there was a tinge of sadness in her voice."

The content in the the thumbnail is an excerpt from Oscar Wilde's "The Nightingale and The Rose". Except that all written rights are reserved; I have extended the story " The Nightingale and The Rose".

Do read this story written by Oscar Wilde. It is mind-blowing.

UNIQUE
Because I know who I am,
I am at ease and free.
I can't be like others,
and they can't be me.
I've got hidden strengths,
some obvious flaws.
Still I'm who I'm,
For better,for worse.
I don't have to blend in
I won't be a lie
I can't please everyone
I won't even try.
Some called me proud;
Others stare at me in alarm.
But I'm not bothered,
Because I knew who I'm.. -

An attempt at Alphabet/ ABC poem! I read that it doesn't always have to be five lines so I challenged myself with the entire alphabets!

A step at a time,
Believing in yourself,
Confidently make your moves,
Diversions will come in your way,
Easy way? There is none but hard work,
Forget about everything else,
Grab that opportunity,
Hold your head high,
Improve yourself as you go,
Jump at the chance,
Kiss your fears goodbye,
Love yourself and see how it
Makes a difference,
Never let others bring you down,
Observe and experience everything
Play around at times too,
Quench your thirst for fun and
Return back to the hustle,
Struggle through the bustle,
Treasure the days as you go,
Understand that nothing lasts forever,
Value every moment as precious,
Wait and take a breath if its tough,
X all the negativity out of your life,
Your life is invaluable so
Zealously live everyday like it's your last.

Dirty talks or erotical
poetic formsWhy some men use this platform for dirty talk? It seems they just look for fun in hope to have sexy chat with some girl...
There is a big difference between erotic poems and tryings to invite for sex chat...
Mirakee is about creative writings, even erotic poems, which I sometimes write, must have that artistic base or it would turn into pornographic content.
This fine line should separate naughty talks from poetical forms which explore different styles and perspectives, including erotically write-ups. -

Hi there friends,
I had been a user of this app for some 2 years I guess and something that had not happened to me all these days did happen today.....these people
@sabrinakhatoon @aamir11 @aditya90
People threatening me to delete all my posts..
I don't really understand what is happening in mirakee. This had been an awesome platform for everyone to express themselves and it had given them freedom to write what they wish. But now, All I see is people threatening, reporting, blocking, commenting to subscribe to their YouTube channel....commenting to subscribe to their friend's YouTube channel...
I kinda feel like people Here had forgotten the whole purpose of writing... The purpose behind expressing...
Why the hell everyone had to think everyone as enemy? What's the point in competiting with everyone in the name of followers, likes, reposts?
Is this the true liberty that we all deserve?!
I have not been using this app for a very long time and I had come back recently and now I can feel the pathetic situation of writers here....
I wonder whether I have a friend here to support me..
I never begged in anyone's comments to read my posts, or to follow me or to like my posts....
I write what I think and we all do that, right?...but it's disheartening to see people trying to humiliate others, and threatening them to remove their posts and all that...
@writersnetwork @mirakee and to all the sheriffs (only if i know whether they do exist) here's a complaint from someone who had not asked for anything in this app except friendship reporting people who threatened me to delete my posts...Read Caption!!
(This is disheartening)
