    Daisies

Back slumped against the movie theatre wall
    Bouquet in hand
She didn't show up at all
    Stood up, how grand
Things I wanted to say discarded
    So many questions to ask
    Thinking half-hearted
Busy myself with a hopeless task
    Pulling petals from the daisies
    Meant for her
    Playing she loves me
    She loves me not
    How can I be sure
That she left my heart to rot
    In my cage of ribs
    My lungs deflate
    Keep telling my myself fibs
    Saying she's just late
    Tears well in my eyes
    As I swallow my pride
    The daisies don't lie
    When only stalks remain
    The petals on the sidewalk
Whisked away by the wind in shame

    Blooms and blood

    A deep and mysterious meaning
The colours of man they convey
Portray the nature of his ways
Or his facade it will betray
Since the first colour sprung to the Earth
    Man would begin
To learn creatures of dark birth
Like snakes that shed their skin
    They would paint the surface
    A deceptive hue
    Shallow colours filled with malice
Hiding the colours that are true
    The subtle colours
    In your eyes would glint
    Now its dull and lackluster
    Like hardened flint
But just as creatures slither from the black
And emerge from the blackest night
    Warriors rise and take back
The colours of good and bright
Two such soldiers knows the trick
The colour of your blood and soul
The bee your skin will prick
So the real colour of your blood will roll
    And peel away the skin
But as the dark drains from him
The small sundrop body of the bee
    Fills with stripes of black
The poison of man came for thee
And after death there was no bringing him back
The second soldier braves the night
    Firefly will expose the facade
    And bring the real
    Colour to light
As your shadow is the shade
That u wish not to parade
    But in the dark
No one can see the hue
But the light shakes if what wishes to illude
    And exposes the colours true
And over time balance was achieved
    An equal day and night
    And those of us believed
    Those who rise to fight
    The sun gifted with flowers
    For them to buzz around
    And protect the valued colours
    That bloom from the ground

    Charred

I will always hold a candle for you
Even until it burns my hand
And when the light has long since gone
In flames my heart will stand
    In irony I belong
I will be there in the darkness
    Holding what remains
    Slipping through my fingers
    Fine sand grains
Quite simply I cannot let go
And let the charred ruins show

    Jellyfish

Why do I like jellyfish so much I
    I don't know
But one thing did occur to me
    What we see before us
Is just one tiny part of the world
We get into the habit of thinking
    This is the world
But that's not true at all
The real world is in a much darker and deeper place
And so little is occupied by jellyfish
We happen to forget all that
Two thirds of the earth's surface is ocean
And all we can see of it with the naked eye
    Is the surface: the skin
    We hardly know anything
    About what's beneath the skin
    And the Jellyfish are nothing
If not something that doenst have any skin
U can see every part of the Jellyfish
And when we get caught in it's tendrils
    And stung by its poison
It's because we can't see past the surface
Even when the being we are looking at
    Is completely opaqueness
We must get under it's skin
And blame the ocean for hiding such a deceptive
    Creature
    When it's just a being
    Going with the flow
