    Loss

    _
    An unbinding sense of loss.
The slight regret of letting it go.
The failure of not being able to find a reason to fight for.
    The question," what went wrong?"
    All end up in loss.
    All end up in nothing.

    Fight again.

    .
    Lost.
    Won.
    Lost.
    Lost again.
I have taken chances with this life.
I have fought to fail too.
If there is anything that is not too hard to accept is that the war wounds don't heal so easily and if they do they leave behind a mark.
A mark that keeps reminding you about how fighting is an endless affair, no matter how great you score or how badly you fail.

    I am a love.

    .
A being so timid in her vision that near things look hazy when far. That is the reason I want you that close, where our breaths mingle and I get to touch your skin. Goosebumps. The thought gives me goosebumps when I wonder how far yet near you have travelled to my soul. I am a love, a love that beats in each expression of yours. I am a love nothing short of feelings but overflowing with emotions.

    Fight.

    .
    .
They keep pushing me. The edge is not that far. I am standing on it now.
Would it matter if I fall?
Would they try and pull me back?
I know they would just laugh.
    Willingly admit their victory.
Yet I wish they could realise they created me.
I did not want to be created.
Infact I was not even ready for the endless times they made it impossible for me to even breath.
    I am not ready.
I am tired. This is not a fight anymore.
It's a battle. I have none beside me to help me fight.

    ........

    .
What she held in those hidden times at the favorite spot in the balcony was pure bliss of solitude. Keeping everything out of her life. This best part of the day when the sun was down, a rain held wind would bring in ideas of a distant beloved man to whom she swore her love. The coffee mug now holding tea and a slow Melody to accompany her imaginations.

    Love.

    .
    .
Holding her close to his chest. Hearing her sigh, he could not help but whisper...
Him: Tell me you love me like water loves the ocean.
Her: I love you like my own breathing.
Him: Then never think of leaving me.
She looks up to find him staring at her with a yearning in his eyes that were matching hers. There was something about him that kept her from going away. She moved up to envelope his lips in another of those long indulging kisses.
Long after when she fell asleep she murmured...
Her: I love you. Please don't leave me.
He sighed smilingly and closed his eyes bringing her closer to him.

    Songs.

Some songs have this beautiful quality of bringing you out of those hidden corners of my heart.

    Downstairs' Party.

That night it rained hard. That night nature was crying with her too. That night amidst all the chaos and fun the downstairs' party was having, she found herself huddled in the corner of her room with a book in her hand. The low light above her head and the forgotten coffee were enough to keep her company while she was gripped to the book. Alaska was dead. They were looking for her. She was crying realising how deep the author had gone to search for a way out of the labyrinth.
She remembered suddenly how Gogol had opened the book his father Ashok gave him as a birthday present once. He began reading it and at the back of his mind had the thought that it would be sometime before anyone would come looking for him.
Indeed it would not be an issue if the downstairs party found her missing. They knew she was engulfed somewhere in her own world.
The world that needed no time, no special arrangements, no dress codes, no rules, no laws but just pure dedication and love. Pure paitence to feel through the pages and realise how each author had penned down each word.
Books. Books where her escape from the society that held nothing worth her admiration.

    You.

    .
    .
Loving you was not a mistake.
It was a soothing emotion. It came to me after a while.
Letting you know that after such a mess I had been through I was finally ready to love someone again...
    That's where I was mistaken.
That's where I will always remain wrong.
    I had forgotten love hurts.
Even then I did fall for you.
Even then I let the walls down for you.
Before your presence makes me realize it was a mistake.
    Let me move away.
Let me live with my love for you.
    For I have fallen twice.
    I failed twice too.
Being in love was now a strategy absolutely mysterious in itself.

    To ending forevers:

    .
    .
The remaining moments of silence spoke greatly of the feelings that had been left unspoken.
Very few were such moments because both loved blabbering a lot.
He held her hand and quietly said,"thus if it is not forever then may be this much, till our forever breaths her last."
She smilled and let the silence settle in again.
The sky was turning towards morning.
A new day meant a new life was to begin.
Indeed not forever was meant to last.
