Our love story was a tragic comedy,
    where you laughed wholeheartedly
    and I died of bitterness.

    You once told me
    the world is a happy
    place, and all I saw
    was glitter smiles
    and confetti embellished
    streets.

    You once told me
    the world is a gloomy
    place, and all I saw
    was grey clouds and
    frowning and scowling
    faces.

    And now when I'm alone
the world is just an empty space.

Sometimes grief overshadows love, but when love embraces with all its might; grief turns into dust.

    Maybe I was shy
    Maybe you were shy
Maybe we both were in love
    Maybe our words were shy,
Maybe the world itself was shy
    But we were in love.

    I soaked bleeding ink
    With thousand blames,
    I enveloped confessions
    of love and hate
    I endured fatal
    Scratches of a pen
    I absorbed hundred tears
    of pain
    I held happy memories
    of the past,
    Then, as always
    I was forgotten at last.

The rain from a while ago only left the evidence of  puddles on the road, the sky has already forgotten about it, now busy painting his canvas in hues of dusk.

I blankly watched the scenes of the city unfold from my tiny office window.

I watched the depth of the grey sky while it was still raining, watched people hurriedly taking shelter to prevent themselves from getting drenched, watched a little girl throwing her umbrella away to dance in the rain.

I watched the rain slowly coming to an end. Watched the city lights coming to life, saw the reflection of them twinkling like stars in the big and small puddles.

I watched the bustling streets, full of people, full of delight, full of life. I watched the sun taking its final peek from behind the skyline.

I watched the day coming to an end, people rushing for buses and taxis probably to reach home by dinner time.

I watched everything I could, every tiny detail so tomorrow when I leave, I don't miss the city air.

I have never known the address of love, the metal highways didn't show me the way, nor the unpaved muddy roads of the village. My reason in faith never wobbled though, when each and every road lead me to heartbreak, tears and melancholy. My resolve never broke.

Then, to think of it really, I have never really hoped for the address of love, it is always been a paradise existing in my poetries.
