    You still exist.
    In my conversations,
    In my poems,
    In my thoughts,
    In my principles,
    As a part of me!

    Just be there!

Embrace them in a hug before their grief bursts into tears,
Wrap your arms around their shoulder to mitigate their fears.

Let them know you're always gonna stay by their side,
Enable them to share with you, assure that there's nothing to hide.

Be a good listener, be around, most importantly, be kind.
Don't judge. Allow the complex threads in their heads to unwind.

It doesn't help to change topics and divert their minds during their lows,
Sometimes, you need to let them express the reason for those raised eye brows.

Just like physical problems, emotional and mental pain aren't first world issues.
They equally require support and care of loved ones and not just paper tissues.

Pehle to uski baaton pe kuch dhyaan nahi diya,
Fir uski aawaz sunna bhi bas armaan reh gaya.

Kyu usey jeene se zyada, marna aasaan laga?
Kya usey swarg se zyada, ghar anjaan laga?

Hey, you look so fat, oh, you look so pale.
Stop judging people on the basis of their weigh scale.

Their mirror tells them facts about their figure,
Don't re-mention. Don't become a source of their emotional trigger.

You think you're showing concern by asking them to exercise?
You don't know it's a well known fact?! That takes me by surprise.

Stop body shaming. Your comments aren't making anyone's journey better.
Start looking beyond looks. Be that trend setter.

In times like these, the best Raksha Bandhan gift a brother can give his sister, is his time!

Genuineness of relations is best understood when the purpose of forming/maintaining them is fulfilled.

Nothing expresses our love better than the smiles on our faces, when I tie that little thread on his wrist.

If you can't be there when they need you, being there everytime else won't really help.
