A friend of mine hates capsicum,
And would always pick them off one by one,
    Another cannot stand peanuts,
No matter how much crunch they afford,
I understand the matter of preferences,
And the liberty to make a choice,
And while food could taste acceptable,
with an ingredient or two missing,
The same is not true for people,
You cannot pick out parts that you like,
    And dispose of the others,
    People, unlike food, cannot survive,
    without their quirks, and idiosyncrasies,
and the things that make them human.
