“I know you’ve been questioning yourself lately. So is everyone. These are testing times for all of us. You, included. I know you’ve been feeling like you’re not wanted anywhere. I know you’ve been feeling you are not attractive anymore. I know you’ve been feeling that you can’t be loved. But is it the case? Maybe. What matters is if you think you can attract yourself. And I see you trying to wake up every day, and think about how to make yourselves better. These times have allowed you to apologize to people you’ve done wrong to. You still don’t dare to text a few of them, but I’m positive you’ll do that too. You should know and start to feel comfortable in your own skin. You should be proud of yourself for all the things you’ve done. You sat for 15 hours a day, for 20 days to work for yourself and earn some extra cash for yourself because you wanted to feel useful. You learned a few things because you wanted to feel useful. And for that, you should be proud of yourself. Because I am.
I also know that you feel like you’re not getting the readership you deserve. People writing or doing stuff far worse than you are becoming famous, but you’re not, and that breaks you, and your art. Maybe that is true. But maybe, just maybe you need more practice. More time to hone your art, like a knife that can directly pierce the heart. So, maybe it’s good if you’re not getting a good reach for every post. Because maybe if you did, you would stop trying harder. And that’s when your art will die. And will you look at that? Because you’ve been trying to better your art, the novel you’ve been working on seems to be getting better with each page you write. Don’t erase those page, Anurag. Don’t let your hard work go to waste. You should be proud of yourself. Because I am.
You’ve grown as a person, so don’t second guess every decision you make. Don’t lose faith in the confidence that you’ve got in yourself, after years of work. I have seen you struggle with your stutter, confidence, body issues, inferiority complex, and suicidal tendencies. But you know you are changing, evolving. And for that, you should be proud of yourself. Because I am.”
