It's the same song we once sang out of tune
    Frolicking and tickling each other
The similar place where I stared at you
Captivated by the warm look in your eyes
    Almost forgetting to blink
You'd pulled me close thence and squeezed so tight
That I'd let out a squeal
    Melting in your armoured arms
Those joyous moments were blown away by the springtime breeze
Reversing the season of my life back to the cold and grey winter
Although I still do sing those songs to gather the fragments
Perfecting every single word and matching the harmony
Yet the time we sang off key sounded perfectly melodious

I loved you a little more than myself
    with each passing day
    Tending to your broken wounds
cutting and pasting with my own
I gave you every share of mine
Like birds attending to their newborns
As that was the only way i knew how to love.
Its been long since you learnt to fly
But even today with the break of dawn
I blindly hope for your return
Nor does the grave silence of the night
    bury the thought of you
The set of those beautiful imageries
    Still remains vivid within me
And with a teardrop on the brink of my eye
I silently wish that i could make you stay.

    Pangs of Fidelity

Like a flower in the meadow
I too will be replaced by a new variety like them
The warmth of the sun I once loved to bask under
Will soon be snatched away from me.
You will be accustomed to the new scent around
Like a bee being drawn to wild flowers
And carry the seed of tomorrow's glory
I on my last days before i completely wilt
Recall the endurance i bore against the cruel weather and pests
Yet i was delighted to dance with the wind
    That often blew my hair
I deeply sigh and curse all those days
For happiness was merely a game destiny played.

    Joy and Sorrow

    The gleeful moment absconded
    with the gust of wind
    leaving an exquisitely overwhelming fragrance
like the field of hibiscus in bloom
    Curing me from my woes
In all seasons of my life.
    Misery, a shapeshifting pneuma
showered me with hailstones and icicles
    Snatching away the tranquil space
But each time the downpour stopped,
the warm sunrays hugged the now cold deserted valley.
Slow and steadily the plant of hope
    did rise from winter's bower
So did the hibiscus bloom once again.

I am the deep sigh you let out
When you painstakingly spent the sleepless night
The echoing breath you hear in the dread silence
The words you've uttered in your heart's core but never spilled
The name of your crush you scribbled on the sand
that was soon wiped away by the waves
The summer vacation that came to an end
in the blink of an eye
The compilation of dreams that you once weaved and stings you even today
The soft whisper in your 11:11 prayer
    The fairytale happily ever after
The prologue to your unfinished novel
    The tragedy that befell you
The imperfect perfection you've always seeked for.

    Overthinking

I sat on a blue chair to watch the old hag dance
She appeared in her pale, wimpy form
    Seeming incapacitated to carry on
But her dance lured me and I fell for her charm
It made me feel pleasurably nostalgic
    towards something I never missed
I gazed for so long without even blinking for once
But the more I stared the younger she transformed
Her cold, hard hearted gaze casting upon me
I no longer could believe my eyes so
I shuddered in awe and crambled to furbish
That's when I found myself running on fumes
I struggled to set myself free
Then someone extended a hand out of the blue
And it's the most treasured, the present of my life...

    To my inner self

It's been a while since then
    The distance increased with pace
You hid away behind the blurry mist
Creating difficulty for my vision to see
The miles separated u from me
    I kept chasing the lights
Failing to realise that you carried it
Thus when i was surrounded with darkness aftermath
    A flicker my eyes saw
Only then did I realise that I was carrying it the whole time

    Rhapsody of love

    Love bloomed in spring
Spreading sweet aroma of the newly cooked recipe around
The house sparrow singing enrapturing melody
    Reviving the hybernating souls
Inviting hope and dream who stayed along
    Enchanted by the euphoric surrounding.

When summer arrived he brought me a bouquet of lavender
    Simultaneously came his cozy-comfy embrace
Accompanying me to spend long sleepless nights
Lit with dazzling stars, tiny fireflies spreading glow in my life
    An indelible sight.

When the maple leaves turned pale
Everything had started falling out of place thence
We were left only with a brief moment whilst had plenty to share
You left me a parting gift, a final peck on my cheeks
It then began to rain heavily in the heart within
Locked myself inside the chamber petrified of emptiness
Lacking hands to hold and arms to cling onto.

The world now had frozen, even a tuft of grass barely was alive.
Fancy fluttered it's now broken wings struggling to fly and hope slept deep in its grave
The heartbroken cries echoed the valley whereas mourn replaced felicity
All one could hear was the aggravating taps of painful longings,
    The ghost of.unfulfilled desires.

After a brief pause spring arrived again
But this time it was excruciatingly long with old fragrance,
The lengthy summer nights missed the comforting stars
    With no lights blazing around.
