What is Miraquill? How do I create an account on this platform?

You can download Miraquill from Google Play store Or App store. You can also visit the website. You can create an account on Miraquill by logging in through your Google account. Please note that we have discontinued the Facebook login option on Miraquill.

I’m not able to log in to my account, what should I do?

Please try re-installing the app. If you’re still not able to login to your account, please write to us at support@miraquill.com and please do mention your email id and username in the email. Also mention if you’re receiving any error messages.

I’m being logged into a new account, what should I do?

Please make sure that you are logging in with the same email id that is associated with your Miraquill account. If you’re still not able to login to your account, please write to us at support@miraquill.com and please do mention your email id and username in the email. Also mention if you’re receiving any error messages.

I had created an account with Facebook, however, now I do not see any option to login via Facebook. What should I do?

We regret to inform you that we had discontinued with the option to login via Facebook. However, we can assist you in updating your email address. Here's how:

1. Create a new Miraquill account using your preferred email address.

2. Contact us at support@miraquill.com with both your new and old email IDs or usernames.

3. We'll then link your original/old account to your new email ID.

Should you require further assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at support@miraquill.com.

How do I change the password of my Miraquill account?

Miraquill does not provide its own registration system. You can login to Miraquill only through your Google account.

Can I change my penname/username on Miraquill?

We no longer offer the option to change penname/username on Miraquill.

How can I delete my account?

Deleting your account means your content and profile will be permanently removed from Miraquill.Once you confirm, we will start with the process of account deletion. Your account will be deleted within 14 business days.

If you'd just like to take a break, you can temporarily deactivate your account instead. The option to delete your account has been added in the settings section (Tap on the settings icon on the top right corner of your profile) in the app. If you are unable to view this option, try updating your app.

This feature is available in the newer updates of Miraquill.

How can I de-activate my account?

Once deactivated, your profile, posts, likes, comments will not be visible to anyone.You can login to re-activate your Miraquill account.

The option to deactivate your account has been added in the settings section (Tap on the settings icon on the top right corner of your profile) in the app. If you are unable to view this option, try updating your app. This feature is available in the newer updates of Miraquill.

How can I change the e-mail ID of my account?

There are only some cases where we allow the e-mail of your account to be changed. Please write to us at support@miraquill.com with your username and email id. Please do mention the reason for email change as well.

How to post long posts?

To post long posts, you can use color as your background. Miraquill provides two types of backgrounds for your posts - colors and images. For long posts, you can use color as a background. If you use an image for your background then the post will be made square sized. You can also post your long post in the caption and use only a quote or phrase from your long post and use it in the body of your post, in this case you'll be able to use an image as a background as well.

Is it safe to post on Miraquill? What if someone copies my content?

It is absolutely safe to post on Miraquill. For Miraquill to achieve the vision with which it was created, it is important to make each and every one of you feel like a part of our family.

While there are cordial relationships among fellow users, there have been certain reports of plagiarism and objectionable content on the app. We understand the gravity of this issue and continuously strive to make this platform a pleasant experience for all of you and to eliminate any elements of discontent and disgrace. Plagiarism is a serious issue for all writers and for us. We have always dealt with it sternly and will continue to take this issue with utmost concern.

In order to aid our ongoing fight against plagiarism, we have a robust reporting system on the platform that allows the users to report objectionable/plagiarised content.

Members can report on content.

Strict action will be taken against valid reports after review.

What if someone copies my content from Miraquill and posts it to another social media channel?

Please report the post/user using the reporting system of that very social network. You can also mail them your miraquill post link for reference.

What if someone copies my content from other social media channel and posts it on their Miraquill profile?

Please report the post on Miraquill. You can add the link for reference in your report.

Can I share my work on Miraquill to other platforms?

Yes, you can share your posts on any social media channel, preferably with the Miraquill watermark.

Can I include someone else's work in my post?

You can, but please make sure to give credit to the original writer. In case you don't know the original writer, please mention that the write-up is by "Anonymous" or "Unknown".

Does Miraquill own my content?

Miraquill does not own your content, the content belongs to the user.

Why do influential pages on Miraquill not repost my posts?

The official page of Miraquill is @miraquill which is owned and operated by Miraquill. Miraquill does not provide the service of reposting. Our responsibility is limited to providing a platform to create, design and consume content, also supporting interactions and connections amongst writers and readers. Miraquill does not have any obligation to repost/promote your content.

How to use the copyright option on Miraquill?

This option is available on the compose screen. You can select the Original Content checkbox to add your copyright. On using the copyright symbol, you confirm that you’re the original writer of that post and the content belongs to you. Do not copy content and claim it as your own. If you quote someone else’s work, please give the credit to the original writer.

How can I get more traction on my posts?

Invest time in building your Miraquill profile. Write amazing content, try to be grammatically correct and avoid using slangs. Provide constructive feedback to other writers on their work. Read, follow and connect.

Why does the app only support English now? Why can't I write in any other language?

We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the current limitation to English support. We are dedicated to enhancing our app and hope to reintegrate multiple language support in the future.

How can I export my posts/poems and turn them into a book?

This feature is not currently available; we're working to expand our capabilities to include it in the future.

How to report a post?

Tap on the more options (3 dots) on the bottom right corner of the post, tap on report, select the reason for reporting the post.

Why was I issued a strike?

Strikes are issued in case of non-compliance of our Community Guidelines or Terms of Use. Please go through the Terms of Use and Community Guidelines of Miraquill. We request you to comply with the guidelines & terms else we will have to take action. We have a variety of ways of enforcing our rules, including, but not limited to: 1. Asking you nicely to knock it off (Strike 1) 2. Asking you less nicely and temporarily disabling your account (Strike 2) 3. Temporary or permanent suspension of account.(Strike 3)

How can I appeal against a moderation decision for my content on Miraquill?

To appeal a moderation decision, please email your content and the grounds for your appeal to support@miraquill.com

Why is the app flagging my content as objectionable when there is absolutely nothing wrong with my content?

We are in constant process of perfecting our filtering systems to keep the platform safe. It is possible that there maybe more avenues of improvements for our system. Could you please send us the content at support@miraquill.com mentioning your complaint? We will take a look into this and get back to you. If required we will also make changes to our filtering process.

My app is not working, what should I do?

Try re-installing it. Still doesn’t work? Are you receiving an error message? If the error message is stated as - "unauthorised" you’ve probably been issued three strikes on Miraquill. If not, wait for a few hours and then kill Miraquill app on your phone. Then restart Miraquill. If it still doesn't work, please write to us at support@miraquill.com.

Check plagiarism is not working, what should I do?

Try re-installing it. Still doesn’t work? Are you receiving an error message? Please write to us at support@miraquill.com regarding this. Let us know which phone are you using as well.

Is there no iOS version of this app?

We're currently refining our iOS app and are available exclusively on Android at the moment. Our team is hard at work to bring you an enhanced iOS experience. Stay tuned for the relaunch, coming soon!

Does Miraquill provide a content backup option?

As of now, Miraquill does not support a feature for backing up content.

I cannot load my profile, what should I do?

Try re-installing it. Still doesn’t work? If not, wait for a few hours and then kill Miraquill app on your phone. Then restart Miraquill. If it still doesn't work, please write to us at support@miraquill.com. Are you receiving an error message? Let us know which phone you are using as well.

Can I upload my own image(from the gallery of my phone) as a background to the post?

In July 2021, we took the hard decision to remove the image upload option from Miraquill. This step was taken to safeguard the rights of creators and ensure proper credit for their artwork. It also allows us to maintain a safe and respectful community by preventing the sharing of images that may include nudity, violence, or unauthorized screenshots.

Our goal is to foster a space where the original work of photographers is respected alongside the beautiful words of our writers.

I'm having trouble locating the images I uploaded in my previous posts. The images have been replaced with a grey background color. Could you assist me with this issue?

Please refer to our email dated July 27, 2021, expressing our decision to remove support for uploaded images. Post the intimation, we have also provided you with 60 days to save your images from your profiles. This decision has only impacted the images of your posts, while the textual content of your posts will remain intact. In lieu of removal of the upload feature, we had introduced a vast library of images for you to use. This new feature allows you to revisit and revitalize your previous posts by adding visuals from our curated collection.

Tips to Address Abuse or resolve conflicts

We understand that online interactions may sometimes become uncomfortable and frustrating. Abusive behavior can take many forms, like having an argument with someone else on Miraquill or coming across posts that you find offensive.

We hope to provide you ways to successfully approach the conflicts you may have experienced on Miraquill. Please read on.

Someone is harassing me, what do I do?

When you come across an unwanted post or comment from another person, it is advisable that you block that person. This will prevent that person from following you or searching for your profile. Abusive people often lose interest once they realize that you will not respond or that they can no longer interact with you.

You may come across content that you don’t like due to any reason, though it doesn’t violate the Community Guidelines. Or you may encounter some people on Miraquill who criticize you/your content, are rude to you or you simply do not like them. If that happens, you can unfollow or block the person. If there is something you don't like in a comment on one of your posts, you can delete that comment. Various disputes and misunderstandings can be resolved directly between members of the community.

Please note that as specified in the Terms of Use, Miraquill is not responsible or liable for the conduct of any of its users, be it online or offline. A user will be responsible for their interactions with other Miraquill users on or off Miraquill. We reserve the right but we are not obliged to monitor or get involved in disputes between users. A user should use his common sense and best judgment while interacting with other Miraquill users.

Understand Miraquill

Miraquill is a free platform to share your words and emotions, connect with other like-minded people and spread positivity. It is an open platform where people from all walks of life share their ideas and emotions. Just as you encounter all kinds of people in real-life situation, similarly on the internet you might encounter certain miscreants. Block those users, report them and move on. If a miscreant enters your home, you do not leave your home. Instead, you report the miscreant to the Police Authorities. In the same way, if you have been bothered by any negative element, report the user. A team of Admins will take the proper action after investigation. We want you to understand that just like any other social network, Miraquill is open to all kinds of individuals. We equip you with the right safety tools to remove negativity from your sight on Miraquill.

Consider the context

Try to understand the content of the offending post, caption or comment in light of the broader context or conversation it may be connected to. Miraquill is used by many people in ways specific to our service so the context of the content may completely change the meaning. Be sure to look for related hashtags that may define the relevance of the content and its implications. It also helps to review all information related to the post and the full profile of the person who posted it to understand the complete story.

Is it worth indulging in this conflict?

Try and analyze whether it will be appropriate to react adversely to the offending post or comment. Ask yourself if it is worth it to go on indulging in negative arguments. Use your common sense and judgement while interacting with users on Miraquill. Miraquill is not responsible or liable for the conduct of any of its users, be it online or offline. You will be responsible for your interactions with other Miraquill users on or off Miraquill. We are not obliged to monitor or get involved in disputes between you and other users.

Make an effort to resolve the conflict in a healthy manner as any retort can reinforce bad behaviour and open up the possibility of unwanted interaction.

Block and ignore

When you come across an unwanted post or comment from another person, it is advisable that you block that person. This will prevent that person from following you or searching for your profile. Abusive people often lose interest once they realize that you will not respond or that they can no longer interact with you.

Conflict beyond repair

While it is tempting to respond back to offending content in anger, focusing on calm discussion or refusing to argue is a better response. However, in some aggressive situations more action may be necessary. Read on.

Take help from the people you trust

When dealing with negative or hurtful interactions, you can turn to your family and friends for support and advice. This may help you to figure out how you want to handle the situation or let you express your feelings so you can move on.

Contact local law enforcement or legal representation

If you feel that your online dispute is legal in nature, please seek advice from a lawyer. Miraquill can't offer any legal advice, and we can't provide information about people who use our service except as required by valid legal process.

What are badges?

We have introduced a badge system to recognize your contributions. Go to your profiles and find some awesome badges waiting to be earned. Miraquill is evolving as a medium for expression of thoughts at a global level. We’ve introduced badges to credit your efforts to grow on this platform. Badges are just a means for us to let you know how important you are, so that we grow together as a community and take this interface to a new, higher level.

Criteria for awarding the badges:

1. Popular
A popular member has gained an incredible readership for his appreciable work. His writing skill has qualities that appeal to the readers.

2. Reader
A reader follows the writers he admires and goes through their work. Miraquill reader follows only those writers whose work he finds worthwhile, not just anyone and actively provides feedback to other users as well.

3. Admin
The admin is the most active user of Miraquill who contributes in overall activities such as welcoming new writers, providing feedback to writers on their work, screening reports, encouraging and guiding the writers and curating the content. A Miraquill admin is granted with special privileges needed to regulate and maintain the community.

4. Sheriff
The sheriff keeps Miraquill clean by reporting bad content on Miraquill and also, voting correctly on reports. Sheriff needs to remain vigilant towards any kind of unwanted activity. This badge has been discontinued.

5. Booster
Booster is an enthusiastic supporter of Miraquill who encourages writers and readers to join the Miraquill family.

6. Marathon Writer
The Marathon Writer badge is granted to those who consistently contribute quality content and honour the power of the written word.

There will be more badges added soon. Each of the above badges have levels associated with them. You can find more information about each badge on the badge screen that you can access through your profile.

I purchased a subscription plan but I have not been provided with the access to the premium feature. Why is that?
