    His Dream Killed Him

    Part 4:

    Dharun finally entered the medical college. Even though his rank wasn't that great, his dedication and his will to serve the society was un parallel. He felt like a grain of sand in the sea shore seeing the people in college. Starting with ragging and cafetaria he started to adjust with the new lifestyle. It was difficult for him. But he was here for a reason. He was here for his father. He was here for his Dream! Soon after he joined, he made good friends. His financial condition on other hand was getting worse. His mom suffered from constant fever and remained ill most of the time. But he never gave up. He studied hard with his notes but he needed textbooks to pass. But he wasn't in a situation to afford them. So he went to library one day to ask for the books. Librarian saw his badge that read " Dharun Yagnik", and gave 2 textbooks. When Dharun asked for more, he said
    "You get only 2 books. You might be here based on merit. But you belong to general category. What is your caste?" Dharun was shocked hearing this. " I don't know sir. All I know is I want to be a doctor and serve society and save people. The more i read, the more i learn. Please lend books".
    Librarian giggled and said " The books might rot in here. But I won't give it to you. I follow the rules. Either study on your own or fail. I don't care."
    Dharun was heart broken. He didnt oppose. He didn't utter a word. He took the 2 books and saw librarian's name on the desk. It read
    "Mr. Sarkar, Librarian, Medical University". He was about to leave but heard his friend Joseph's voice from behind. " Dude! Turn on the internet. There is a new virus thats causing large deaths. They say its Covid 19!"

    His Dream Killed Him

    Part 3 :

    The wholesome wishes coming from Dharun's friends, media, school, colleges were all washed away by tears of his family.
    Their sky in which they shined as stars was no more. The sweet box remained close along side the sweetest man of their family wrapped in clothes. Dharun had topped in studies but Fate had failed him. He went to depression because of this instance. He stopped preparing for NEET. He decided to stop his studies and decided to work to support his family. His success made him popular but his soul was a prisoner in the darkness of his heart. He missed giving NEET exam for the year and went to search the job. While his mother was working hard at garments to get enough money to feed the family, he was busy searching job. His dream was about to die completely until he ran into Dr Gupta one day in the market.
    Dr Gupta recognised Dharun instantly and heard what happened with his family. He said "Your father died while bringing sweets for your success. You leaving your dreams behind might be the last thing he want to see. Go and study. Being doctor isn't just a profession, Its a Service. Do that service which makes your father happy in afterlife"
    Dharun's 6th std memories rushed back like flood. The lock of the prison opened. His soul blossomed again. He decided to study. He decided to write NEET next year. He studied very hard.
    NEET results were out. He had cracked it. He dreamt his life to be good now. But little did he know fate has its own way of giving surprises......

    His Dream Killed Him

    Part 2:

    Dharun's mind was set. He wanted to be a doctor now. Starting from games period where he became doctor and his friends became patients, his vision to be a doctor became stronger day by day. He studied very hard in 10th and passed with Distinction. Dharun's family was on cloud 9. Seeing his interest in education, his father took a loan of 1 lakh and admitted Dharun to a private institute. Children from rich family ground used to bully him for his poor English. They played and bunked majority of classes and considered Dharun as a fool. He cried silently everyday but never mentioned anything to his father. He had no friends in college. But, he never gave up. Everytime he wanted to run away and give up, he used to imagine his grandmother waiting for him at home with the laddu she made. He used to imagine the words of Dr Gupta near the ICU 6 years back. He smiled at all the bullies and taunts. He accepted it with a smile but continued reading, continued working hard.
    It was the day 12th Results were going to be announced. It was a day that changed Dharun's life.
    With the interest on loan increasing everyday as not a sufficient burden, Dharun's father had lost his job because of Industry shutdown.
    Dharun came running to home with marksheet, Certificate and smile on his face. But, he saw his father's body wrapped in cloth and family crying out loud. His father had become a victim of violent protests in the states. He was no more.
    His father's bag had a sweet box and a note that said " For my Son, Future Doctor. Whatever be the results, you will become doctor. I will do anything and everything to help you"
    He couldn't control his tears. He ran towards his dad. His marksheet flew away. The certificate fell on ground which read
    " Congratulations. You have scored 98% and you have Topped in the District".

    His Dream Killed Him

    Part 1 :

    Dharun was studying in 6th standard when his grandmother who was everything to him became ill. Being in a middle class family, he enjoyed eating ice creams on weekends, a monthly movie with family, Galli cricket with friends and he never knew what his dream was. He for the first time cried for the whole night seeing his grandmother in ICU. He wanted to play with her and wanted to hear stories from her. She who always slept beside her grandson was now sleeping on death bed. The family had lost hope but not him.
    Dr. Gupta was a famous Surgeon. He was called to attend this emergency. Even though he had lost his wife a day back, he came running to the hospital. He saw Dharun's eyes who was sitting outside the ICU and said "I will try my best. You will see your grandmother telling you stories soon". The operation was successful. Dharun couldn't control his tears. He straight away went and hugged Dr Gupta.
    Dharun said "I want to be a doctor like you and this is my DREAM"

    CURSE THEM OR CURE THIS?

    For the first time in history we can help the society by being at home, sleeping, watching TV, reading novels and practically doing NOTHING.
    And I wonder how can we suck at doing Nothing :p
    Travel lust can wait. Eating out can wait. Evening walks can wait. Meeting friends can wait. Because you need to be ALIVE to do all this :)
    Yes. The government failed us. True, the media is bringing more negativity and fear. But don't you think we as citizens failed our country more by being most Irresponsible?
    "What you choose is what you'll become. Because our choices decides our future".
    You can either chose to share pics of your travel,walks in social media and showcase yourselves as buffoons or stay home,take care,Do NOTHING and set an example.
    Wearing mask is Not an Option anymore. Its the Only Option.
    - Felt like saying :D

    ENDINGS ARE BEAUTIFUL TOO
    #5

    Sumit stood straight in front of the girl with his eyes wet and heart heavy. He wanted to shout and scream but words failed him. Gathering the courage yet looking down he spoke his heart out.
    " Yes. Its the mutual respect that is important in any relationship than the love. What you did today can never be done by anyone else, You are the strongest woman i have met who redefined friendship today. I want to be your best friend always......" He paused for a moment and continued. " I always thought Love, commitments makes one happy. But you proved me wrong. 'I love you' is Very nice i knew...but, 'Have you reached home safely? Are you ok now?' worth more than 'I love you'.
    Our foundation for this beautiful relationship has been CARE and the Ship of our friendliness should never sink. For the first time, i felt huge Respect incident on me and I want to reflect it back. You taught me that there is something beyond Love...beyond Care...beyond attachments...Its Respect!
    A simple act of standing for our togetherness through a thread of mutual respect and care, you clarified my feelings against which i was fighting. I will be there for you, because you are there for me too!" He paused.

    His eyes told the truth. He was more than just happy. He was neither compromising nor was sad. Not that he stopped loving her...but the repect for her crossed his love. He loved that bond they shared and respected how they were.

    'You could have said the feelings you felt for her...she would have accepted you for sure' said one of Sumit's friend to Sumit.
    'May be she would have. But, i would have lost my best friend to get her as a lover. I don't want the respect to be converted to love. I will anyways love her as a friend and respect this bond forever...because, Even Endings are beautiful too" Sumith paused.

    Thank you:-)

    "Chappedd" a huge slap; The sound was soo intense that everyone was shocked and they stood still. The girl after the slap looked like an angry woman while she took the rose and threw it away so it could never rise again. Sumit couldn't believe what just happened there. Sumit's friend was beaten in front of everyone.
    The girl continued. "The love whose intention is to hurt Someone else is never a love. You wanted to see Sumit suffer, you wanted him to know 'your' value through me. Iam a girl and not a bridge for you to pass and never see back. iam a girl and don't you dare play with my emotions.Is it really the friendship that made you do this? No. Its not. Friends don't enter to change your life. They enter to make your life better. Friends never manipulate. They kick your ass but tell you whats right. They maynot stand with you while u laugh..but they do stand when everyone leaves. Don't play friendship for your cheap means. Sumit never left you, because you guys never made him feel special for which he could have stayed. Sumith is close to my heart and i won't let anyone harm him. Its ok if you don't love friends but Respect them. Because, Gaining respect takes more time than gaining love. Your rose coun't rise even the smallest of emotions in me while his fake smile through out the party told the untold emotions he felt for me. He is happy because of me.If you can't see him happy, just leave. Get the hell out" she paused.
    Lost completely in the situation, Sumit felt tears all over his eyes again and he hugged her immidiately while he saw his friend storming away.

    Now it was his time to end something which never started, to which he wished would last long. He was ready for something no one saw coming.

    Lets say the name of the boy was Sumit. It was 12 in the midnight and the boy called her to wish. He got a busy tone for a long time. He was furious and angry and went to sleep. The next day he arranged a surprise party for her where all her friends were called. The boy made it soo beautiful, that the girl couldn't resist neither her tears nor a hug;
    He felt something magical for the very first time. For the first time, He wanted to see her tears even more and wanted them to flow unconditionally.
    "Thanks for making this soo beautiful my Best Friend" were her words. In a very ease of words he was Friendzoned. He stopped the tears through his smile. The party went very well and the boy who was desparate to shoutout his feelings was the most silent person in the party.
    "Hi Babes" said a new boy who entered the party with rose in a hand and need for a hug in the eyes. She hugged him and she told everyone. " He wished me first yesterday and he proposed me too......." .......Sumit wasn't feeling the ground beneath and stood still unable to look at the new boy. The girl continued and told Sumit..." Meet him. He is your old friend who left you when u were close to me". Sumith slowly raised his head to see his once upon best friend's face. He was shocked. He was furious and angry. He lost his belief in friendship....

    Before Sumith could fall apart seeing all this...something unexpected happened;

    The girl was from a Different city and hence stayed in hostel. The boy saw the new girl and remembered that she was the girl whom he admired in his primary. The girl was charming and she too recognised him at her first sight.
    They both exchanged their numbers and slowly started their chats. She felt comfortable with him and soon chats became phone calls and online chats became offline hangouts. They became very close. She used to sing with him, play with him, fight with him and his innersoul was slowly back on the track.
    He started to believe in "Being Himself" again rather than pretending to be "Himself".
    He mocked people who laughed at his changed behaviour but embraced the happiness his soul felt.

    But, He was getting attached...to something He never believed in. To something he never wished for. To something pure which resides in darkness.
    Then, there came a day. It was August 13th. And it was her birthday.

    Endings are beautiful too;
    #1

    There once lived a boy who was very happy with his life. He played all day, he sang, he danced, he used to do all the things that made him happy. He was "himself" all the time in his own world. Then he began to make friends, started to hangout with them slowly. He started to get influenced by the new stuffs he came across. He stopped talking to himself since he had friends now. He stopped singing since he chats now. He doesn't play out because PUBG didn't allow him. He slowly started to accept or was forced to accept that these were the sources of his happiness.

    He no longer wanted to live in the moment but wanted the pics to be taken in every moment.
    He no longer watched TV and laughed out loud with parents but watched memes and smiled silently in his own room;

    His life was changing.
    He was transforming.
    His innerself was getting suffocated while he was busy breathing new air.

    Then there entered a girl who could change him the way he was or the way even more worse.

    Wait for the next part:-)
