The moon has it's flaws too (edited version)

Majestic moon in the night sky.
Brighter than every star shining by its side.
Displaying it's beauty for everyone to see,
You stare at it so lovingly.

Broken soul in the reflection of the mirror.
losing your light, in need of a savior.
Blinded by lies, your beauty you no longer see,
You stare at yourself so coldly.

    Sweet honey escapes your lips
As you speak of the moon,
But poison seeps out your tongue
    As you speak of you.

    Society has been so cruel,
It blinded you from the truth.
It told you that beauty is all that isn't you.
Yet it seems you have forgotten,
The moon carries it's own flaws too.
The same moon you speak so fondly of.

The moon is covered in craters
Its land is dusty and dry.
    And compared to the sun
Its light is not nearly as bright.

    Yet you love it still.
    So don't you see,
The beauty you praise of the moon
Has nothing to do with the way it looks,
Rather the way it makes you feel.

Its dim light brings calmness to the soul.
The peace it brings with night.
    The comfortable space it creates.
The safeness it makes you feel.

    And just like the moon,
    You bring about feelings
That physical appearance could never do.

There are people that admires your soul.
Craves to be in your presence.
Considers you to be there home,
And thinks of you as a ray of hope.

    We all have flaws
    Like a normal human being.
So maybe the definition of flaws is flawed
    And not you.

So just like the moon that you love so immensely,
    You are so beautiful too.

    I just love me more

Just because I let you go doesn't mean I don't love you, it just means I love me more.

Now I know I was starving

I never really knew how badly I wanted to kiss you, until our lips met for the first time.

The moon has it's flaws too

I find it odd how you can love the moon so dearly that you speak so lovingly of it's beauty, yet the words you say to yourself are so harsh.
You speak so much about all your 'flaws' , but the moon has it's flaws too, yet you find it so mezmarising.
Don't you see, the beauty you praise so fondly of the moon has nothing to do with the way it looks, but rather the way it makes you feel.
Its dim light, that's not too bright, brings calmness to soul. The peace it brings with night. The comfortable space that it creates, which makes it a safe place to pour your heart out.
And just like the moon, you bring about feelings that physical appearance could never do.
How many people did you make smile.
How many people misses you when you leave.
How many people thinks of you as a safe place.
You are so much more than what you see.
And we all have 'flaws' like a normal human being.
So maybe there's something wrong with the definition of 'flaws' and not you.
So just like the moon, that you love so immensely,
    You are so beautiful too.
So speak to yourself the same way you praise the moon.

    Atleast

Atleast, inside my dreams, we're together.

    Big smile, but sad eyes

Our lips can fake a smile to hide the pain.
Our tongues can tell a lie and say we're fine.
But our eyes, they cannot lie or hide, and shows what is kept hidden deep within our hearts.

    Just a thought

I don't know how to describe or explain it, but there's an unusual comfort that comes with sadness and giving up. Once you've been drowning in the water for long enough it becomes somewhat peaceful. Or maybe it's just me.

    Comparisons

    I hate comparisons.
Not because I think I'm better than anyone else,
Im just scared that if you compare me enough to the next person
You'll start finding reasons to replace me.
And in the end, I'm always the one replaced.

It's okay to take time to focus on yourself

    Its not selfish, it's selflove

Love should be found in yourself first

When love is needed the most,
When affection and compassion is craved as badly as one needs air.
Never look for that love in others, as you will find the most horrible things, disguising to be love
Pretending to be what you look for, what you seek,
And it will only deepen your sorrows, and cause even the oldest wounds to bleed.
It will leave you think that you are flawed
    And you don't deserve more.
So when love becomes a dire need,
That love should be found inside yourself
And you'll learn that you are worth much more than what you think.
And once you find love in yourself, true love will find you.
