It is less like the space between the first text "I love you" and the second "I really love you so much" I sent after 1.2 seconds and more so like the letters I wish to write to you in cursive writings, where each letter proposes to the syllable, completely entwined. To the address I found in a complete forest of details, that I looked up till 5.32am on a random night...or morning...or the time between Tuesday and Wednesday when the world is completely innocent, unpossessed by the cynicism. You see he will never really know, how I bookmark the pages not with the flowers, but the scrambled, scented dust I make from them as I tear it from its emotions between my cold fingers that reject to show you how much you really mean to me. I keep it at vulnerability when you ask me, but it actually is mutuality. It's unusual to think so intensely, about how each second of our silence pulls me into a moment I live when I kiss your dry lips and fill each crack on that bottom lip, while in reality, you are on a grey wall sipping the papery taste from your cigarette. I never tell you all of this, because I don't know if you would seal that broken top button on my shirt with your intentions before any other guy laid an eye on my bare skin because I feel I belong to you. No, don't mistake this for overprotectiveness, its rather the intent I desiderate than wanting the prolonged, pesky arguments that don't know how to end at love. I don't know if you would really know the love I have for you, that I don't show because I don't know if your love looks out (although it is practically impossible to make it to that minute), when I took the last sip of an intoxicating Nazm (verse), then diluted in my midnight coffee to wear off its passion before I text "Good morning" to you.

The day pleads the night
To fall and weigh everything down
Sink, into the nothingness
Of the stars, clouds and everything else
And surrender, going to sleep
And turn the lamps on once again
Hold the light, for as long as it can
I have become unwilling
To close my eyes, and let the dark
Absorb me.
The gravity already pulls me down
Whether day or night
But day feels friendlier, as the night comes
Hunting for me
The day pleads the night
To fall and weigh everything down
Just like emotions, that lost their meaning
And people, that lost their value
But my pride is still held high,
Although feelings have fallen in defeat
I guess, its worthless to ever hope
That one day -
Feelings will too be adored
Held high just like that northern star
That shone last night
As I plucked it from the sky
While I too plead, for life
To hold me high and not let me fall
Because if I did,
Maybe I would never get back up.

बारीक सा काजल इन आँखों मे
जो तुम यूँ ही लगाती हो
मैं झुमकों से अब भी किलस जाता हूँ
तेरे गालों को चूमते हैं आदतन।।।
मैं कुछ भी कहाँ भूला हूं
क्या क्या बताऊँ तुम कहो
बिखरती जुल्फ में उलझा हूँ अब तक
इन्हें कैद में रखती थी तुम आदतन।।
पिछली बारिश यूँ न थी तुम साथ थी
फ़क़त पत्ते हरे थे,एक खामोशी थी
भीगी हुई,तुम मुझसे लिपटी हुई थी आदतन।।
इस बार फिर से ख़्वाहिशों को आरजू है
पिछली सीट bike की अभी खाली पड़ी है
दो कुर्सियां lawn में अब भी वही हैं
चाय अब भी दो ही cup बनाता हूँ मैं आदतन।।

जहां नीम के दातुन जहां कोयल चहकती है
तूम चलो तो मै ले .....
सांझ ढले ही जहां सब साथ होते हैं
जहां सब मिलकर सारे गम बाट लेते हैं
वो पीपल की छांव मैं तुम्हे दे सकूँ
वो ओढ़नी वो आँचल,वो शर्म से सिमट ती लड़कियाँ
हम भूल बैठे हैं फ़क़त,रिश्तों की सब नजदीकियां
खेतों में उपजे अन्न की कीमत लगाने चल दिये
मरता रहा वो दीन कृषक,हम आंसू बहाकर चल दिये
कितना सुकून और चैन कितना
पहली किरण ताजी हवा और पगडंडियां....
गाँव के तालाब में पहली बार देखी थी मैने मछलियां
कोठियां,कारे और ac यहाँ ये खुशियां कहाँ रहती हैं।।

इस शहर की दौड़ से दूर चलो तुम...
सरसों के खेत हैं जहां,जहां दिन सुबह ही होता है
जहां नीम के दातुन जहां कोयल चहकती है
तूम चलो तो मै ले .....
सांझ ढले ही जहां सब साथ होते हैं
जहां सब मिलकर सारे गम बाट लेते हैं
वो पीपल की छांव मैं तुम्हे दे सकूँ
वो ओढ़नी वो आँचल,वो शर्म से सिमट ती लड़कियाँ
हम भूल बैठे हैं फ़क़त,रिश्तों की सब नजदीकियां
खेतों में उपजे अन्न की कीमत लगाने चल दिये
मरता रहा वो दीन कृषक,हम आंसू बहाकर चल दिये
कितना सुकून और चैन कितना
पहली किरण ताजी हवा और पगडंडियां....
गाँव के तालाब में पहली बार देखी थी मैने मछलियां
कोठियां,कारे और ac यहाँ ये खुशियां कहाँ रहती हैं।।
तुम चलो तो मैं ले....
