THE LOUD SILENCE
Tears of uncertainty roll down their cheeks,
Hoping to meet again,
Knowing it could be in vain.
Ready for the battlefield,
They march into the field,
To fight their enemy,
And defend their country.
Trrrrrrrrrr! Twa! Twa! Twa!
With calculated moves they fight,
Not ready to give up.
They are brought back to their homes,
Carried with shoulders and heads held high,
Their heroic corpses in coffins,
For they slept heroically and left their home safe.
