Jaya SiyaRaam! Jaya ShriHari! Jaya ShrimanNarayana! Their jewels borrow their shine from them just like at the time of dawn the dark ocean is lit up by the ocean it's water shimmering and looking beguiling all due to the Rays of Sun falling on them, jewels like Ocean and the Sun is ShriSeethaRaam ❤ Pic credit: Pinterest
Here, I have tried to describe ShriNarsimha Bhagwan, the bestower of Prahalad (Prahalad-Varda). Prahalad was the son of Demon Hiranyakashyap, who got a boon from Brahma Dev that he cannot be killed, either in day or night, either inside the house or outside, by any weapon, neither at day nor night or by any man or animal. He tortured devotees of ShriVishnu but his own son was a great Devotee. Hiranyakashyap devised many plans to get him killed, but failed each time. Once he asked a Prahalad where is ShriVishnu and he replied, 'He is Everywhere' then Hiranyakashyap signalled to a Pillar and said if your Hari is present in that pillar I will destroy that! And then will destroy you too, if he does not emerge. When Prahalad Ji said, 'He is everywhere' then ShriVishnu immediately entered in each and every thing, and was waiting to emerge just to make his devotee's words true! Hiranyakashyap smashed the Pillar with his mace and from it emerged ShriNarsimha Bhagwan- with a face of lion and a body of Man. He tore open the chest of Hiranyakashyap with his nails(no weapon) while keeping him on his lap(neither in sky nor ground) attwilight time (neither day nor night) and at the doorframe (neither inside house nor outside). He was pacified by the Hymns of Prahalad himself and made him sit on his lap. Then Bhagwan out of OVER FLOWING AFFECTION (VATSALYA) started licking the face of the five year old Prahalad. ☺ This Katha displays the Affection of Bhagwan Towards his Devotees and his ever willingness to save us from The Ocean of World (Bhav Sagar) by tearing or destroying our Sins which are lofty like Hiranyakashyap and accumulated over infinite births! Jaya ShrimanNarayana! Jaya ShriHari! Jaya Prahalad Varda ShriNarsimha!
harvest_of_mind@shrihari_nandini Sister, you are always writing flawless and some posts are of deep spiritual appeal to me (other posts may appeal to other people). Usually you ask for suggestions. A tiny one here. You have written, 'When Prahlad said that Vishnu existed in everything, He entered all things'. Is it not better to say that He always exists in everything? Of course, you may differ.
shrihari_nandini@harvest_of_mind Certainly Sir. Thanks a lot for your appreciation Actually, all I meant was that ShriVishnu manifested himself in each and everything, the moment Prahalad said, in a form 'visible' to eye. Though true, he is present everywhere. It's similar to the fact Raam and Krishna descend though Hari is everywhere but when he wishes then only we can see him. Hence I said 'entered', it means manifested his form or descended himself, than being present in a subtle way. Actually only devotees like Prahalad can see him, others like Hiranyakashyap would not have believed him if Hari wouldn't have manifested himself. Thanks a lot for asking this, I will add this in my post.
I call this special, as it is Very Close to My Heart Another episode of imagination But I have to say this came in my mind without effort and hence I converted it to a poem! This is how it goes: I am on a beautiful beach with ShriSeethaRaam. Seetha Ma calls me to her, I am small girl, smaller than the length of her and ShriRaam's arms. She calls me to herself for an embrace, and I run to her, imagine her arms open wide calling her little daughter to her for a hug, as a mother calls her beloved child. I go to her, as my feet effortlessly move to her for embracing her. But as I am about to reach Ma, ShriRaam comes in between us and he says with a spirit of fun, 'where are you going little one?' And I knowing his mischievous nature, refuse to say a word and with a pout, I say, 'Let me go to Ma' but he doesn't, he plays, but I don't understand his pranks! What should I do now? I go left, he moves left to block my way, I shift right he too shifts right, I protest but he doesn't let me go. And then I realise he is soo tall and I am soo small, I can easily escape! Both his arms are blocking my way, but I easily move below his arms, and before he could catch me I reach to Ma, who with open arms embraces me. ShriRaam smiles is now defeated! Now, he comes and embraces us from behind and joins our union which is Forever Sweet!
Now, can anyone imagine a little girl, she is not more than 4 or 5 years, imagine her little palms, so little. And she is the beloved of Her Father, her Father is the Lord of Universes, nothing is hidden from him. The little foolish girl, for her, he is her Sweetest Father! She comes from behind and takes her little palms and covers the large lotus eyes of her Father, imagine those little palms covering those large eyes, those fingers which cannot cover the whole of eyes and the Father who is already all seeing one can still look between those fingers, the girl is elated. She asks her Father in a tiny voice, "Now, tell who is this?" Her little voice can be identified by all, then what to say of Her Father! But her Sweet Dad, he plays along, he shows a confused expression, like, who is this, who covered my eyes? Nothing is visible and I cannot identify the person! He smiled due to his all knowing nature and love but he hid this from the Girl! The girl now seems to have achieved the result she wished from her prank, and now she is pitying her Sweet Blindfolded Father! She slowly moves her palms aside and reveals herself. Now her all Knowing Father Smiles again looking at the Little Daughter, showing as if she is successful in her Play! The Father is ShrimanNarayana and the Girl is Me! I played so with him in my mind❤ But this Girl realises that she was hiding from the All Seeing One himself!
Pic credit: Google, to the original Owner, I cropped the pic The pic shows a Gopika covering ShriKrishn's eyes, the pic I used only for representation, but since the girl is little, you can see the pic from my poem #Oh_ShriHari_please_dont_go
*Ma ShriLakshmi is called Kamalaasini which means the one who has Lotus as her seat❤ Oh Everyone, just behold my Lovely ShriHari. Aren't they soooooooooo Beautiful!? ❤ Look at those eyes, look at those lips, look at their body and look at their most beautiful feet
This feels like a time of Distraught. Isn't it? But when is not a time of distraught? We all live in a world which is full of miseries. No one can ever be happy in this world until and unless the person is self realised or the person is a devotee. Keeping this in mind I who is just another worldly person try to believe in 'A Ray Of Hope' which is the only possible way to stay away from Misery. ShriHari is always Sharnagat Vatsal (Dear to the people who take refuge in him) hence if we trust him then he shall help us. Without any hope, we will only lead ourselves to grief hence I request all to believe in atleast a Ray of Hope!
*(which will endow mercy on me, it means him looking at me that is turning his merciful eye towards me) **(Vishnu name literally means One who pervades the whole world. But still he makes me feel separated from him )
Jai ShriHari! Jai ShrimanNarayana! Pic credit: To the original owner(ShriHari under Sheshnaag, now why should I not say he loves to tear my heart with his beauty and not just mine, I already tried to describe his beauty(which cannot be described) in my poem 'Unsurpassed Beauty')
ally_18@shrihari_nandini actually I was going through your posts dear..randomly..there I saw this mesmerising pic of ShriHari with Ananta and it pulled my mind there..it was unread by me..veryyyy beautifully written dear I lagged but it came to me finally Jai ShriHari!
shrihari_nandini@ally_18 Haha it's perfectly okay! ☺ Glad you went through my posts, it's natural for me for they are my very own thoughts but I am elated to know that you are mesmerised Yes truly this picture has my heart too! Thanks a lot Again❤❤ Jaya Jaya ShriHari!
Madhusoodan-Killer of Demon Madhu Vatsalya means the unconditional love of parents towards their children. Just like that of cow towards it's calf, now you can never imagine ShriHari's love! I got my Little Father (in pic) and also an idol of ShriSeethaRaam Ji on my birthday last year. I think these two were the best of gifts that anyone get. My Little Krishna keeps looking above(at my face) with a wide smile with lips as red as ketchup and hands inside the butter pot! My Little Master whom I sometimes fail to believe that came to a sinful person like me! Oh How may explain, how sweet my small Kanna is! Jai ShrimanNarayana! Jai ShriHari! All hail to My Chhote Pitaji! (MY LITTLE FATHER) My mom says why I call such a little child my father But my small boy is very much my Father and of the whole universe! Who showed the whole Universe to Mayya Yashoda in his little mouth when she made him open his mouth to see whether he has eaten mud or not!
ShrimanNarayana is so beautiful and wonderful! How does one describe his beauty? Sheshnaag ji with his thousand hoods though keeps singing glories but still couldn't complete them! Then how can I ever? The Cowherds of Vrindavan condemned about their eyes blinking for they did not wanted to miss a chance even to see ShriHari, they thought that Brahm Dev has committed a mistake by making their eyes blink! The Great Yogis forget their ascesis when they he glances at them. He is the Lord of Godha Thayar(Ma ShriAndal). Chandra's sister(Ma ShriLakshmi) gets love lorn by looking at him, she gets shy moves her eyes away but again her eyes land on him because of her unmatchable love! ❤❤❤ How may I sing his glories which is the only business of my existence! All I wish is to sing about him birth after birth with devotion. Just this. Jai ShriHari! Jai ShrimanNarayana!
ShrimatiRukmini Ma is the incarnation of ShriMahaLakshmi in Dwapar Yug when ShriVishnu incarnated as ShriKrishn. She was the daughter of King Bhishmak hence also called ShriBhaishmi. Her marriage was arranged to Chedi Kingdom's King Shishupal by her brother Rukmi who was a friend of Jarasandh an enemy of ShriKrishn. But Vaidarbhi's (since she was the princess of Vidarbh hence called Vaidarbhi) heart was fixed on ShriKrishn so she wrote a letter to Hari to come and abduct her. Her story and letter is worth reading from ShrimadBhagwatam. ShriKrishn then came and abducted her and made her his Wife! Hence in Dwapar Yug Hari became ShriHari with association of his beloved Shri(Rukmini). Their wedding was conducted on Chaitra Shukl Trayodashi which was on 5th-6th April this year(Thanks Aarsha Di for telling) but I could not post the poem then. I have tried here to describe their love in the marriage. The love of Shri and Hari is unparalleled! All Victory to ShriHari! Jai ShrimanNarayana! ❤
ShriVaaman Dev is the dwarf incarnation of Lord ShriVishnu. Bhagwan took Vaaman form as the younger brother of Indra Dev(thus called UPENDRA) and the Son of Parents of Devatas: Aditi and Kashyap. Bali the Grandson of Prahalad, was conducting a yagya to win over Swarg(Heaven) and other worlds but ShriHari donned Dwarf Brahaman form and asked for three steps of Earth to great Danveer Bali who never refused alms so he agreed. In the first step ShriVaaman measured the whole Earth, in second step whole Universe(Swarga to Satyalok, abode of Lord Brahma)(He thus became TriVikram-Winner of three Worlds, which otherwise also belonged to him) and asked where to put the third step. Bali told him to put the step on his head(he surrendered to Lord) Lord was pleased by his act and hence Shifted Bali to worlds below Earth or Patal lok, made him King and himself became his doorkeeper, that's the sweetest Bhaktvatsal(lover of devotees)! This avtar has lots of significance, it shows Sharnagati(Surrender)which is the only means to Moksha(liberation). Also, in this avtar Lord did not kill any Rakshas(Demon) but gave a boon to everybody! He placed his feet which are highly revered and worshipped and hard to achieve even by great yogis, on everybody from Swarga to Satyalok to the whole Earth and even Patal! When he placed his feet in Satyalok, Brahm Dev by Lord's sudden gesture of Placing his Bestowing Feet, made the Vedas water and washed his Supreme Feet( and maybe this water later came to be known as River Ganga) So Annamacharya Ji says BRAHM KADIGINA PADAMU(The feet washed by Brahm Dev) It's a great song worth listening Though I am not sure of Brahma Dev's story I read it somewhere, so it may not be true. But rest all is true, Bhagwan is the great Bestower in this Avatar and this form is the embodiment of his mercy! He is the sweetest Vaamana!
This is one of my old poems, here I ask ShriHari to marry my mind! That's so because he does not stay in my mind always, and I have heard that a married couple stays together in every birth (every time a promise of staying together till 7 more births and hence forever). Thus if ShriHari does marry my mind, then he and me will stay together forever. But due to his causeless mercy I got to know, him staying in mind is futile until there is devotion. So nowadays I am seeking only and only devotion! But still I think I still like this idea! So, does anyone want to attend my marriage? Hehe, then let me tell you even I want to because it's all wish of my mind and heart❤ My Lord shall certainly come with his beloved Shri and make my mind his chaste wife giving me unlimited devotion to those feet and to those as well who adore those feet
Due to Bhagwan's sankalpa to take all his children out of Bhav Sagar, the one without any duties, gives himself the duty of making every jeeva cross Samsar Sagar. He gives them devotion by his Karuna Kataksham (Merciful glances) and makes them entitled for liberation and eternal service to him in ShriVaikuntham(His eternal Dham). But he does not give me devotion! It's like he has forgotten me although I am worthy of his mercy. His mercy flows like a river without a barrier but don't know why he does not shower it on me to give me devotion to his lotus feet and ShriVaishnavas. He is said to present in Arch (Idol) form in the same way as he is present in Vaikunth, his home but if that's the case then why does he not listen? He turned Ahilya Devi from Stone To Human but how is it that one who showers mercy on even rocks doesn't on me, a living human? He came uninvited in Yagya (sacrifice) of Bali ji as Vaaman then why does he not come or send his devotion to my mind even when I call him day and night? The poem was written by me in the mood of anger, kindly do not think that I have started detesting him or he is bad. He is the most merciful and I am just a seeker rather a beggar for his mercy! The last four lines I wrote when I was back in a Serene mood after few days so these four lines reflect what I really mean by the whole poem, I just seek for devotion, I beg for it, devotion to ShriHari and all Vaishnav jans.
harvest_of_mind@shrihari_nandini Fine. The sense in which you are saying, it is true that 'don't' is shortened form, such as wouldn't, so it may be called informal. And that's why the longer form 'do not' is called formal. But still what I said might be true as well. Confirm from multiple sources OR a reliable, knowledgeable English teacher. I shall do the same.
shrihari_nandini@harvest_of_mind Okay Sir, as I searched on internet I didn't get, any polite or impolite thing, so I can't say, but if you find it impolite let me change. Thanks.
harvest_of_mind@shrihari_nandini No, little sister, I didn't find it impolite personally. It is just question of proper use of words to express intended sentiments. There was no need to change unless you were convinced. I regret to have suggested an insignificant improvement. In future, I shall suggest only if it's more significant. By the way, I found something on net to support my point and taken screenshot, but do not know how to communicate.
shrihari_nandini@harvest_of_mind That's perfectly okay Sir! I was glad to know that you pointed this out. And if you are really convinced about it, I think that is enough for me to change that. If you are finding a fault and trying to make my post over all perfect, I should thank you for that and you should not regret about it. Thanks a lot! You can always advice me, I would like to correct that.
Translation: Oh Lord ShriHari, may the morning not come As I adore you, let the night not be over
The night is decorated in your Shyaam complexion And due to Shri's presence it has become golden (Usually night is seen as a negative aspect and black but due to ShriHari it glows in Shyam and golden colours) Where is the space for darkness to come? May the morning not come!
Tomorrow will again be a bright day And the Sun will again shine Everyone will do their everyday duties There will be no contemplation of you How does the mind find peace? May the morning not come!
ShriHari is sleeping and their form enchants the mind Let this form never leave the eyes This is the moment when I get your divine sight Let this moment not pass May the morning not come!
ShriHari is sleeping and I am watching them and thus I don't want the morning to come. Let the time not pass. श्रीहरि सो रहें हैं व मैं उन्हें निहार रहीं हूँ और इसी वजह से मैं नहीं चाहती की भोर आए। यह समय कभी न बीते।
