Where are you from? I'm from a place where, Stardust and debris co-exist. I'm from a place where, Melancholy dominates. I'm from a place where, People are attentive yet ignorant. I'm from a place where, You would feel wanted yet lonely. I'm from a place, Which you won't want to know. I'm from a place, Which is otherwise known, As the depths of one's mind. ~May ----------
The nightingale's chirp fills the dark, As the lonesome figure traces the moonlit path. Yearning to find familiarity somewhere, They trudge forward through various weathers. The stars accompany the stranger, As the wolf howls and the bats fly around; My eyes long for an image of yours. Wanting to hear your melodic voice, Feel your touch on my skin; My heart aches, Wanting to discern you from the dead. Once again I depart from my new-found solace, Leaving the forget-me-nots near your grave. The memories are like a faded dream, They get farther away, the more I try to reach for it. I can't hold you in my arms anymore, But I know I'll keep you in my heart, Forever. I'm not forgetting you...ever.
