The Dog and the Yellow Kite
The open field was a beautiful sight,
The flowers, trees and butterflies
Made me unaware of the shadows that lay behind.
It was time to undo my detour as night would arrive
So I shook my fur
And ran over the hills, my spirits high.
But soon, around me,
A fiery storm began to rise
And I tried to fight.
As I lost hope, flew in a yellow kite
I held onto to it tight
And it led me from the darkness into the light
There I saw my keeper
She held me in her warm hands tight
I had finally reached home
The friendly yellow kite had saved my life.
