I look deep into them.
I can see our past and present in them,
My hands hold our future.

Read MoreMeghna woke up the next morning to a sensation of pain & the ugly sight of frozen blood on her upper left arm. It was 10AM and a rainy monday morning. Her body would not let her move out of the bed. Her mind dreaded the sight of people. Calls from her boss kept coming in but she could not respond out of laziness & fear. The fear that he would fire her & she would lose the only thing that that distracted her from plunging into a black hole of depression, her job. She forced her body to get ready & went on to the work place. The sound of people typing was not enough to down the noise from her thoughts.She had taken four bathroom breaks already, to cry or smoke. "Please don't do this to me right now, you fucking vile bastards", she said, desperately to the demons in her head. The panic grew as she continued to work. Finally, she picked up her bag & ran out to the terrace of her forty storey office. Her left leg calculated the result of the fall while the right one refused to move. One small step & all this would be over she thought. One small step was it all it would take. Suddenly a storm of memories hit her, her mother holding her in her arms when she was an infant, her dad's tears during her marriage & Tripti's lame jokes. She collapsed & sat down with her legs dangling over a beautiful view of the city.
