#Places divine often commits clandestine acts to publicize the belief it dwells on. #And there you pray to the Lord who is omnipresent you say without seeing him for a single time. #Ruminating over this thought you would doubt your faith for you prayed whom and who played whom? #After a while you may pause and reject the notion of an immortal soul who reigns the sovereignty. #Damn is the place you will lead to,they say where devil will treat you with all atrocities you could frame for the doubts you raised against the almighty Lord. #Observe the things you see rather than living in a fantasy for the world will treat you well for your flamboyancy . #Xandy may arrive late before you fall to doom, so save your belief as there still lies a religion called humanity.
Jamie you know, people leave but places don't.. They exist holding back all the memories, fragrances and some truths with lots of lies.. They never abandon our hearts instead knocks daily.. They say alot about them who left.. They keep secrets safe of the sweet and the sorrows we ever shared.. They became a part of our life.. It seems to be easy not to return to those places but even if you don't, they stays in your heart forever.. They are embraced with essence of the memories, good and bad.. The bad ones will hurt us but the good ones will hurt us too, because our unconscious mind is knitted with unreal expectations.. So, live a life that you can remember with smiles, and some acceptable tears.. Take both deeds, but always try to choose right.. ________________________________________________________
@mirakee thank you so much for the POD! It's a real honour and a delight. And thank you for everyone who took a moment read this slice of history from my home town.
Hey, guys. I know it's been a while. Sorry, I couldn't read your magical pieces. University has started, so I won't be able to be here as frequently as I used to, but I'll definitely come around as soon as I get some free time. Thank you for asking @heartsease@fairytales_@asmita_chakraborty I was really touched by the gesture.
And a few words about the Fort. This is one of the most stunning vistas in Galle, Sri Lanka, which is incidentally, my home town. ________________________________________________
THE OLD FORT
The old Fort stands
By the edge of the coast
As the waves smash against
Her moss covered stone walls
Those proud greying walls
Worn smooth from centuries
The ruined battlements still remain
Nestled between the fallen towers
Where the canons used to stand
Oh, the cannons!
How the fort misses them
Her own majestic children
Now all tucked away
In the dusty alcoves
Of the unvisited museum
The clock tower is silent
It's bells haven't rung in years
The broken clock face
Where no one's eyes rest
What she wouldn't give
To hear the bells again...
To feel the resounding heartbeat
Of the footfalls of marching soldiers
Upon stone pavements of her skin
Of course she's heard that war is wrong
And maybe there's truth in that
After all, she still hasn't forgotten
The combined scent of blood and sweat
That soaked through her earth
A long, long time ago
But war has been her life
The only time she's felt alive
Her songs mingled with battle cries
Her soul flying along the crimson standards
Her own halcyon days
Written in the ink of battle
Now nothing remains
Of those glory days
Instead, there are crying children
And flustered mothers buying ice creams
The regal soldiers at attention
Replaced with flower filled pavements
And quaint little tea shops
The place where the squadron's flag stood
Rippling in the air with victory
Is now the backdrop
For the "#'@" selfies

Char Chinar, also sometimes rendered Char Chinari, Ropa Lank, or Rupa Lank, is an island in Dal Lake, Srinagar, Kashmir India. Dal Lake includes 3 islands, 2 of which are marked with beautiful Chinar trees. The island located on the Bod Dal is known as Rupa Lank (Silver Island), it is marked with the presence of majestic Chinar trees at the four corners, thus known as Char-Chinari (Four Chinars). Murad Baksh, brother of the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb, constructed the Rupa Lank. The second Chinar Island, known as Sona Lanka (Gold Island), is located on the Lokut Dal, and over looks the holy shrine of Hazratbal. Chinar trees characteristically grow in Eastern Himalayas. They have been an important part of Kashmiri tradition, in that, a Chinar tree is found in almost every village in Kashmir. These trees have survived for ages, because Chinar is basically a long-living tree. It spreads wide across a region of cool climate with sufficient water. The tree has several properties - leaves and bark are used as medicine, the wood, known as lace wood has been used for delicate furniture and the twigs and roots are used for making dyes.
