For the Doctors and Nurses of Covid

Your eyes are dull and blank,
And light in them is weak.
why your face is crushed and red,
And you have bruises all over your cheek.

Your tired eyes are not closing why!
When Your swollen face speaks the pain
Burns on your face are not stopping you why!
From putting on the same mask again

Why did you chose to stand in way,
    When darkness had us stuck.
Wrecking havoc on the human lives,
    When healthcare gives no luck.

The hope in your eyes isn't dead why!
When wrath of god has inflamed,
The breathe of Any gasping being.
faith on your face isn't dull why!
When there are no angels for you - Angel
And no prayers for your well-being!

Covid 19 :The Art Of Losing

    I ask,
    Where's your mask?
    Suddenly I sneeze,
You started covering your nose and mouth with mask.
Having mask with you;But you are lazy enough to cover your nose and mouth with this mask.
    Does everyone remember?
    We are fighting against coronavirus.
No one else is around to drink with you.
Salute to the doctors, nurses and the hospital stuffs ,
    Pray to God for them,
Ask God to give powers to them to fight against this deadly virus .
I with the mask , you with the mask
    Walking towards the garden ;
    Sitting in the grass ,
    Looking at the sky ,
And crying for the ones who had lost there lives through this pandemic virus.

    The confession -3

Yes The Confession.

NURSE : Just another word to describe a person being strong enough to tolerate anything and soft enough to understand anyone.

Thank you so much for everything. Even during this time, you people are there, serving and saving lives ... And it's a very big thing to do, during this time of pandemic.

I thank all the nurses and doctors from the core of my heart for everything you guys do. Because of you, we live in a happier, healthier world...

    Covid Veeras

I have seen and heard of many heroes from the past,
The battles they fought, the victories they got, and their stories aghast!
Now I have seen the same Heroes and Warriors who helped me battle Covid,
Those heroes are Doctors, Nurses and everyone else, who took my Chariot and drove it!

Thank you for spending sleepless nights,
Facing a world of problems and tumultuous tides,
I don't know how shall I repay this debt?!
So please accept this humble poem in respect
Of your strong and resilient Auras!
    THANK YOU COVID VEERAS!

    Modern hero's

To all the Doctor's, Nurses and hospital workers
    out there.
I think these people deserve to be called heros
because of them many of us are still here
In a way we owe them our life's for risking their own
In return for nothing and no body knows
We complain of stores being close and not
    being able to go out
These people barely sleep just to help someone out
Many have lost their life's by helping other's survive
We need to appreciate the work they've done
If it weren't for them we might of all been gone.

    Life savers

    From learning theories,
    To understanding the theories
    From fear to hold,
    To confident to hold
    From inexperienced,
    To experienced
    From unknown causes,
    To known causes
    From unknown diagnosis,
    To known diagnosis
    Every doctor grows
    Every nurse grows
    Every physio grows
    Every medical team grows
    Grow as life savers..

    A Nurse's Tale

One day in the past, you were 3, or 6, or maybe 9
It's all about a game you and your friend play
Stets on your neck, notes on your hand
Saying to your friend, "Im the nurse", you now lay!

A simple game grows into a dream
A dream profession, or a job, or maybe a calling
Some says they are meant for this
And some says, they are being drag and force and they can't resist

What does it feel to wear white uniforms, and scrubs
How is the feeling of working away from your loves
This has come to be the reality that nurses must face
Not a childhood game anyone can play in a playground space

What does a nurse do, they asked
We do check your pulse, heart rate and temp
Respiration and BP, charting follows at hand
Giving medications, emotional support, and symphaty when someone die and you need a hand

Nurses bathed you, help you pee, and sometimes feed you
Regulate your IV's, cheering you up and never leave you
Some may seen to be hard when they're in haste
Because there's so many of you and too few of them to chase
They would like to sit beside you and talk about life
But there's so much to do,
Patients are too many and nurses are too few

We grieve when you're all sad
Sometimes you seems to be happy and glad
But we know it's fake and maybe your way to escape
Everything is new and got reshape

Nursing the mother of all profession
Being a nurse they say both a curse and a blessing
You'll witness the very first breath of life and the last breath of death

    You are for this,
    You are meant for this,
    You are made for this,
    You are called from above,
You are an angel dressed in white,
Duties and obligations are in line,
Responsibilities are too many to take,
Personal problems, we smile even if its fake
Our passion and desire fueled as to help the unable
Our heart commands and dictates what mind cannot reciprocate
Because we are the light in the name of Jesus,
    the hope of the sickroom.

    Nurses

There was a period in my life that I don't ever want to relive even in my worst nightmares.
    But,
I am definitely thankful that I lived through it.

I spent those 2 weeks in an ICU...

What an irony was that it was the time I needed to be with my family and friends the most because it was draining my energy to be in that atmosphere intensely different from the outer world.

There were 3 kinds of people I saw inside that room...

Patients struggling to get back to their feet,
the very few infrequent visitors coming with hope in their eyes and prayers in their heart..
    and most importantly ,
those godsent warriors who relentlessly put their efforts into getting each and every one of their patients back to normal life again.

    I'm not an expert,
    but,
with the little experience I had inside the ICU,
I can say that patients in intensive care become emotionally confused and turn terribly hard to handle .

    So did I.

I couldn't cope with the sudden tragedy that hit me.

    I wanted support...
    the emotional one.
And I believed that l only my family,
who knew me like the palm of their hand can give me that.

But to my surprise, these warriors proved me wrong.

Their growth From complete strangers to being my another family who intensely cared for me was sudden.

    They made me feel safe...
    even spoon fed me sometimes..
    they became my sisters .
I remember calling one of them my mother.
And they told me how their families were including me in their prayers then.
I remember planning a trip to go with them,
once I got out of the icu.
They must have been trying giving me hope that I will definitely get out of there.

    And I did.

After the two weeks in icu and almost a month in ward..
    I was discharged.

    When they bid me bye...
    I don't remember who..
one of them told me... l
et's hope we never meet again here like the way we did.

    Life moved on.

Met few of them after that too during my check ups.
When I met that warrior who used to spoonfeed me and frequently scold me for keeping a grim face during those days near the elevator of that hospital again...
I couldn't resist the tears pooling in my eyes.
I gave her a tight hug that lasted only a few seconds.

But my heart has them all caught in a hug that will last forever.

Because I'm eternally grateful for what they did for the 22 year old me...
for going beyond giving me medical support.
For engaging me in conversations and keeping me from losing my sanity out of frustration and fear.

In those two weeks they did influence me nearly as much as my family did in two decades of my life.

    Not just me ...
    also my mother.

To all those warriors who does this magic with their amazing dedication towards job.
You guys are the best set of humans god could've ever made.

I don't know how to end this note...
maybe because the respect and love I have for them is endless...

    Happy nurses day warriors.

    The Protectors

    They work round the clock
    They rarely rest or eat
To protect the sick and weak
They dwell in a medical world

    Though having family to cherish
    Yet leaving behind them
    They enter the battle
    And struggling hard to protect

The great Nurses, around the globe
Who protects the sick and infected
    Without worrying to get infected
They fight to protect, the true Protectors

    The real Warriors, fondly remembered
    On this International Nurses Day
    Let's salute those fighters
    Who remain in eradicating Covid-19

    NURSES!

    Hey you,
    Yeah you.
    You should not sleep.
    Though patient sleep, you shouldn't.
Though atmosphere looks sedative, you shouldn't.
Though cool air tempts you, you shouldn't.
Though ward is calm, you shouldn't.
Though it's your regular time to sleep, you shouldn't.
Though you didn't had coffee, you shouldn't.
Though you see dark night out, you shouldn't.
    'Coz you are a NURSE.
    Especially on night shift.
    So, you shouldn't sleep.
Though it's calm or busy you need to stay awake.
Even mother May fail to awake and look after her children.
    But, you won't.
    'Coz you are a NURSE.
    Proud to be a NURSE.

    Together - We can fight

I peer out my window into the bleary sky,
And see a rare sign of life - A majestic eagle soaring up high.
Spontaneously, I see a crack, crack in everything,
That's how the light gets in.
It must be tiring putting up a fight,
Hoping to see us again before you see the light.
    Happiness is a choice so please don't frown;
Despite the circumstance create positivity around.
We all have ups and downs if you notice this,
Kindly face it gracefully it's just the way it is.
While heroic doctors and nurses battle to save lives,
We must be hopeful and pray that the world survives.

    You didn't want forever
    You just wanted the pleasure
But that pleasure led to a measure
    You could never conjure
    Your brilliance from yonder years
    Made you yearn
    For a glorious occupation
    The occupation made you super
And at induction, you became super
A super human you evolved into

    Like a Phoenix
    You rose from your ashes
Imprinting that humane side of you
Into the memories of the dead
Who spent their last moments in your embodied smile
And casting that heroic cloak on the survivors
To give us strength, to survive
    To live for another day

    A part time love
    That became your very being

    Hospital

    Clocks don't stop
    Florescent days
    Sleep between seconds
    The rush never stops
    Infinite queue
    Different creeds and colours
    Identical helplessness
    Dread filled coughs unified
    Choices to be made
    Human shoulders to bear
    Family grief either way.
