The heart had taken time off,
It needed a break.
The owner was slightly crazy,
She put the heart through an emotional coaster.
The heart, it is motionsick,
It just wanted a break from the chaos.
So, the heart went on a vacation,
But then remembered, the human couldn't live without it.
The electric shock of the AED,
It brought the heart back home.
Nowhere can the heart go without the human,
The heart is sheepish, but it's back to work.
Hopefully, the human will be nicer,
Nicer to the heart.

I will now not think about people and things which do not take me forward. I will just not.

Nowhere
I like people, some of them at least.
The smiles, the laughter, the kind gazes.
But sometimes, sometimes I wish to disappear.
Not to die, just to go away for a while.
To connect, or rather reconnect.
So I build a space in my dreams, with gentle thoughts that gather in the web of our minds.
And call it my nowhere.
My everywhere.
My where.

Till our neck aches!
Let's just smile the whole day
And keep on smiling
Till our cheeks ask us to stop!
Let's just be us for a while
And realise
How beautiful is our mankind!

With Valentine's day just round the corner, what better time is there than now to write a somonka.
(I wrote the two tankas from the POV of a poesy & a diary, both pining for each other).
The Somonka, is a Japanese verse form that takes the frame of 2 tankas and carries a central theme of love. In fact, it's basically two tankas written as two love letters to each other (one tanka per love letter). This form usually demands two authors, but it is possible to have a poet take on two personas.
The tanka is a thirty-one-syllable poem, traditionally written in a single unbroken line. A form of waka, Japanese song or verse, tanka translates as "short song," and is better known in its five-line, 5/7/5/7/7 syllable count form.

Gone like whirlwind
He came & went like a whirlwind,
leaving a trail of broken hearts
in his wake.
His poetry was unique & charming,
it captured many hearts,
including mine.
The day he declared his exit,
the sound of shattering hearts
could be heard,
Why...was the question
everyone asked.
He was a wonderful friend.
Those times when I was
depressed with my inadequacy
& felt like giving up,
he spurred me on.
He might not know it,
but he had given me
the boost I needed
to keep going,
it meant so much to me.
But now, he's gone,
Nowhere to be found.
Someday, I wish we could
cross paths again, somehow,
But that's another story.
Now, he's gone,
like a whirlwind.

The jasmine in the courtyard have a intense aroma of your soul. They bloom in the heart like stars that have disappeared beyond the lost heavens. Wounded eras are waiting to wander with the wind that ripples through the protective walls of your memories. It's an open door. Welcome to the dead yesterday, waiting for your soul to be at the height of hope.
