such a warm night for the apocalypse
i was sure it'd come for us
in the cold of winter
but here we are
here it is
trying to think of what i'll miss
if anything
i've known too many nights where i thought
the sun wouldn't rise
been in battles fought
that I couldn't win
did i even try?
the drugs and the drink
all just to help me to think
addiction fuels the inspiration
or maybe it's the other way round

chasing these distractions in the moonlight
but can you blame me?
