Mr. Teddy anxiously looked at me, As I hear voices inside my head. Seeing white silhouettes glide, As a monster hides under the bed. While the thunder's started to roar, my night lights began to flicker. As an immense wind hitted my window, My whole body started to shiver. Soon my room was cold as ice, My body felt like going numb. Hairs on my arms was going up, As I hear footsteps about to come. So I stood up, walked to the door, By then I saw the door knob turning. I saw my mom down and miserable, Her eyes was red from crying. She looked at me with mournful eyes, And said the words I longed to dread. "Oh dear my dear, it should have been me" And soon I knew.....that I was dead.
Like a warm glow turns into the menacing dark As the soft evening gives way to a mournful night Your memories Your beautiful smile and radiant face The warmth of your love Which made my life worth living Gives way to the expressionless face The cold voice That said, without any emotion, "I don't love you anymore" As if it was the simplest, most natural thing And you didn't even look back to see How that line, it's every word Was a dagger through my heart I lay there, bleeding, Watching joy float away from my life Like a soul escaping a body And the way this night has stretched on I know that the day is not coming To drag me away from this darkness This is an endless night My night without a day
