A Cup of Gratitude
Times change, greens bloom, scars heal and the heart becomes merry again.
Slowly the sound fades, dusk sets in, the moonlight beams beyond the horizon as we look forward to the days when stories will be told again...
Stories that gladden our hearts, of patters of waters, fishes that leap for air, the ripples of water bodies, humans by the shore mouth agape in amazement of beautiful creations of the Almighty and children by the river bank cupping water the size of their palms and landing on bare stomachs and skins trickling down lazily their feet.
Stories of old minced in doubt of fact and myth in grey voices and hairs the color of coal and the earth, of teeth brazen with age, of lips filled with wisdom and knowledge barely untapped.
Today I am grateful for a lot of things; For yesterday, today and the future.
