Like footprints on the sands
You washed me from ashore
Took me in your powerful hands
And I melted to my core
Disintegrating, like fireworks
In my wake, leaving soluble marks.
Now I lay in your expanse of a bed
All puffy and red

The sky was lit
Yes, my man, the moon
Was smiling at me,
Gazing at me as I gazed back
Enveloped in a warm cool atmosphere,
The gazed transfixed me in a trance
That I never wished to come out of
The gaze that left me sleepless,
When dawn approached

In the second hut it is all happening
The chief right outside, pacing
Goes into his own hut and gets his pipe
Back to pacing, waiting for time to ripe
For the cry to be heard
Though things he felt were hard
Just a scream, a yell and hushed talk
And he sweat, worried for his rock
In the middle of his penitence
Ensued a gloomy silence
But a shrill cry stopped him
And a smile instead on a whim
There was a croak of appreciation
Then a flurry of ululation an jubilation
Drum beats
First high, then low
Double beats
First high, then low
He smiled with a big grin
"Another arrow for my bow"
Rubbing his stomach and chin
Dum Dum, high and low for show
So with a smile on his face
He went in to welcome his heir and ace
A feast befits this new life
Oh chief! Oh wife!

MILK
I stared into the sufuria in anticipation
The milk stayed still drinking in the heat
The Sheeny film of cream trembled a bit
I waited and waited and waited for it
To start forming a balloon and rise
But the milk sat still, bored...
So I took a quick survey of the kitchen
To occupy my almost bored vision
But was startled by the hiss of the fire,
smoke and a pungent smell of burning milk
All my patience, gone down the drain.
Don't let this be the case with us
Please don't wait for me to look away
To finally seek my eyes.
Don't wait for me to give up!
