Falling on sand
I will not always be raising
There will be time I may fall
Even if that day comes,
And I fall from very tall,
I would prefer to fall on sand
Rather than on the hard ground,
That could completely break a man,
But sand would reduce the wound.
Falling on hard may never let me rise again,
Never be on me feet or be able to fly,
Loss completely in the pain,
And be a wingless bird, wanting the sky.
Neither soft nor hard sand,
Would give little amount of harm,
Hurt enough to learn from it,
If I fall in his golden arms.
