The Agony of The Talking Drum
They mould me to their taste, Destroying the creator's blessing
Beautiful I am to them, To my own agony.
The more they carve, The more I cry
Minks they used to cover me, Tied round my head
That no one will know who I really am
Beating me indiscreetly
Instead of crying, I sing their tune
They dance, laugh and rejoice, to my agony.
The more I try to remove the mink, to rediscover myself
The more they tighten it, And the beating accelerating
What must i do to free myself?
I will figure a way out, I will free myself
I will tear the mink, I will be rendered "useless"
But it won't matter, For now i know
They rejoice not again at my peril
