    The Binary Man

    Floating between states,
Held together by the tug of opposing forces,
    Swinging between extremities,
Sometimes seamlessly knit into the fabric of ordinary life,
Sometimes swimming through the mundane to find the extraordinary,
    Soaking in the ambient noise,
I transform it into my orchestral notes,
Trying to compose music through words,
Scurrying to grasp flashes of searing insights,
Steering multiple lives while short of reigns,
A part of me an echo chamber for everyone,
Times when I'm clueless about who I am,
I run through the tunnels winding back to my center,
As I breathe in the balmy air of dusk,
I settle into a steady rhythm guided by a focal point,
Waiting for the waves to wash over me,
Tearing through my metallic web of thoughts,
Burning through the crust to melt into my core,
Traversing a thousand journeys in every circumambulation,
    Chasing mindlessness to become mindful,
Desperately clinging onto an ephemeral trance,
Pulling down the sensory shutters to switch back to my binary form,
I wind back the tape until it falls in place with the present,
All I need now is a flywheel of perpetual motion,
To unravel my story into the future.

    Amarachi My Eastern Queen.

    My Eastern queen,
My African queen, every mans dream.
Face to Face first time My manly bravado switched off.
She says call me Amara for short.
    Decked with beauty and finesse
My girl beams with exuberant confidence.
Her laughter keeps the room lit, i swear it's the smile that gets my defenses breached.
Armed with repertoire of virtues in her arsenal, such that renders the hardest of men emotional.
Some of the things i couldn't manage to say on the first day,
I finally found the courage to write in this poem for My love sake.
The moon, the stars and the breeze stood still, they waited in unison to bless our first kiss.
Amara the treble voice that enchants me from the choir,
babe you got that delicate sway in those graceful attires.
And as she lays her head on my chest, feeling the rythmic back and forth of her breathe.
In those moments as i stare quietly, a voice whispers saying this is your blessing for waiting patiently.

    Amarachi My Melanin Queen.

My Melanin queen, My African queen, every mans dream.
Face to Face first time My manly bravado switched off.
She says call me Amara for short.
Decked with finesse and beauty in her blackness.
My girl beams with exuberant confidence.
Her mild laughter keeps the room lit, i swear it's the smile that gets my defenses breached.
Armed with repertoire of feminine virtues in her arsenal, such that renders the hardest of men emotional.
And as she lays her head on my chest. On my skin i can feel her breathe.
In those moments as i stare quietly, a voice whispers saying this is your reward for waiting patiently.
