Blood Forest
Come to me gentle, this way towards us
Step lightly on the ground, avoid the bugs, the locusts
Strange these strange leaves that fall red scream in horror break your focus
Red drips softly from fruits that hang in this blood soaked forest
Watch every turn, what lurks behind trees is danger
Tread slow in this place, filled with chaos, with anger
Gaze yet behind you for where you don't look death awaits
Demons hang red from these trees filled with hate
And drip from the sky red drips far above us
Enter not enter not, with red leaves the blood forest
With dead rising from dirt and fear spreading about
With lives lost as you wander in this land of no life with no way out
With dreams lost, buried six feet deeper than you are
With hope falling, twinkling in the darkness, bright like the stars
With everything I hear with red words and all that told us
I walk red through red leaves, in this blood soaked forest
And crumble away to nothing, fallen grey to dust
Blown by dry air spread across a land as such
Torn asunder by dry leaves, leaves that break to touch
With blood in this land blood filled there is no blood here too much
In this land here blood covered blood soaked with blood leaves that blow, blood drips from the sky full of blood lust
So heed me and enter not, this blood filled, blood spilled, blood soaked forest

In a lair of curses
She exhales
Unapproved demises
Of last night
Mourning with morning air
She lays there
With clusters of
Weeping galaxies
From her peripheral vision
She saw the wild being
Coming to get her again
Innocence in her eyes
She pleaded, begged, withered
Cried to the forests
To cover her delicacy with
Flowers and leaves
Cried to the rains
To wash away her
Scars, scratches, dents, dots
Cried to her mother
Questioning her existence
Questioning why she birthed her
Unholy and owned
She felt with the wild being
Helpless and scattered
She might rise one day
To rule and run
With the king of forest
And will forget
The demises
Of every night

Forest
I don't know why
I loved her so intensely from the stars
She drew me in so easily
From the day I was born she beckoned
I still love her today
I run to her any chance I get
I hunger for her proximity

The Unyielding Void
Part 1
A chasm pitched in shadow rested besides the open hatch. The sheer darkness of the pit left an uneasiness in Rohan’s gut. Any speculation towards its depth or shape was a shot in the dark. “Who made this? ”Rohan considered. The idea that this could in any way be a natural phenomenon seemed absolutely absurd, as the void’s intensity never faltered no matter the angle or perspective. The unwavering nature of this anomaly only piqued the meticulous student’s curiosity, though their wits ensured that they maintained a cautious mindset.
In this new world, mysterious encounters were endless, and proper documentation of the unknown seemed all the more necessary. “Who knows, maybe someday it will help me in a pinch,” Rohan thought. All manner of bizarre foliage and geography had been made known to them, yet nothing like this had ever appeared. Red rivers and giant mushrooms were one thing, but this hole seemed like a tear in reality itself. Pulling out their Journal and pen they began documenting the aberration, their apprehension beginning to dissipate the more they observed, and a desire to learn filled its place.
Rohan became so eager as to even begin small tests on the hole, such as throwing a pebble down and recording the time. The timing of each repeated thump allowed for Rohan to calculate the depth. Everything, even the smallest of minutia, was recorded in the small black notebook. Even the odd metallic scent of the earth had a place within the thinly placed lines. As testing grew less necessary, Rohan decided to find a place to more comfortably pursue their notes.
Closer to the edge of the clearing stood two massive trees that had fused into one at their trunks. Even alone the trees were considerably wide, but their combined breadth exceeded even Rohan’s height. It juxtaposed all nearby trees and dominated the skyline. Rohan found the sight quite fascinating, and thought it was the best place to seek shade from the sun.

Burn
Its time to burn it all down
Start fresh
The forest will grow again
With or without the trees that built it
A forest that's seen many fires
Will grow taller than a forest who's seen none at all
My tears will water the ash of your absence
My leaves will shelter me from the rain
You can love what you burn
You can use that pain
Love is the fuel for the hottest and most violent of flames

Light
People will tell you to be yourself, to let your inner light shine.
What they don't tell you is that your light may not be appreciated.
Some will not under the flickering and dancing of your light.
Some will run from its heat.
Shun its hue.
Laugh at its dimness.
Hide from its brilliance.
Judge its very existence.
Whether your light is a forest fire or a lone fading star.
Protect it.
Cultivate it.
Become it.
Light.

THE BOOK OF LIFE
As I walked, through the dense forest,
with my footprints,in the litterfall,
dappled shadows of red maple tree,
nodded their crowns in breeze.
Seeing,the long forest way,
I made an effort to follow the detour,
but then, boughs and twigs dropped from dried trees,
creating hindrance on the way.
The slowly eroding roots of old oak tree,
too created a huge barrier.
As I moved forward,in the midst of unbound shadows,
the deers thriving there, gave me empty glances.
No longer, I heard the sound that soothes me here.
All these reminded me about our life.

Just a Forest
The trees loomed over me as I walked through the dark
Darkness surrounded me as I went, deeper, deeper, and deeper
I couldn’t shake the feeling of being watched
I started walking faster
Faster, I kept going faster
The feeling, I was being watched, I knew it.
I whipped my head around to see
No one was there, it was just me.
An owl hooted in front of me, so I whipped my head back around
Are my eyes deceiving me?
Or is that a figure that I see?
I backed away, but still couldn’t shake that feeling...
I kept going forward through that forest
Noises, there were noises all around me
The more I walked, the louder it got
Till’ the noises surrounded me in the dark.
The forest seemed to close in, I couldn't escape
Then before I knew, I felt the sun on my face
The sun came up, the shadows and figures were gone
The noises were no more.
That feeling was no more.
I kept walking once again but this time to a different place
Away from the forest
The forest could no longer harm me
For it was just a forest.

Indifference
My skin remains in your teeth
and your voice still screams through the trees.
Threatening to snare my indifference.
But life goes on.

Haunting Shards
It came again
Vexing my life like it had before:
Crippling my breath,
Tearing my soul,
It came again.
Spooking the life out of my soul.
It came again!
I smile ,I relaxed, I pacified...
I learnt to stand on my feet again.
It came again!
Tearing-crushing all my efforts;
Pushing all my happiness back into the abyss.
It came again!
Vettling the life out of my soul.
Little did I know
That it will show up at the most unfortunate moment
Like the capitol admist of a pandemic.
It came to me
To devour the soul of my life out of me.
And I let it have my soul:
Served it with a glass of my blood
and slice of my mind.
He devoured it like the hungry wolf of the forest—again
The life that I collected from the shrads it made last time.
The shrads that almost cost my life;
I lost it again.
To the cruel unbeaten ghastly monster of my life— My soul.

Stand Firm. Be Tall.
The tree so beautiful and elegant.
Standing firm and strong.
No matter how the wind pushes,
How cold and direct the wind presses up against the tree,
The tree will be firm.
Storms will wash through,
Battering and weakening the tree,
But it will not fall.
Thunder will clap by its ears,
Lightening will flash dangerously close.
The branches and limbs may bend or snap, but its core, its body stands tall.
The roots of the tree go deep.
They dive down into the Earth,
Twisting and turning all around.
The roots spreading through the ground like fires of a forest.
Roots that hold on tight when the wind comes around.
Roots that will not let the tree fall down.
The tree is nothing without the roots,
The tree could not stand without the roots.
Fruit of the tree would not grow without roots of the ground.

Dead Ending
On the darkest of nights
In the absence of the moon
With graves before me
Dead memories are strewn
On my soul I confess
In these darkest of hours
With cat eyes I see
Dead vines and red flowers.
On the path beneath me
In the forest of my youth
With a veil of black lace
Dead spirits speak truth.
On a tomb of skulls
In the ghosts of a fire
With winged feet halting
Dead ending in a pyre.
On this Eve I invoked magic
In the secrets of these trees
With mystic whispers of spells
Dead memories take leave.

droughted out of
every bits of water
there is always someone
who will still choose to
bloom .

I am the wind
The wind conquers I
Flowing through every particle
Shrouding me in whispering layers
The trees welcome
The wind dances with them
Branches bend down to allow passage
Direction is favored over discomfort of change
I can change
I want to change
There is no reason that I cannot
I want to change
I plan, unfold it right before me
What excuse do I have this time?
No thing can exist without the flowing of energy
Embrace the current, cold or smoldering
Creates this kind of secret story
How we become conjoined

The pieces of moonlight
dotted along the canvas inside my mind,
reflect the vast stretch of the forest
that i paint.
Amidst those pieces
i seek to find my own obliterated pieces,
trying to make peace with them.
as the dawn approaches –
within its' lateral space,
is where i find myself
aimlessly running around in the wilderness,
wherever my feet takes me –
down every lane
even the lurking shadows shy away from
for there's no light here
it's all bathed in ash
from the burnt remains of my past.
a distant bird sings
bringing the red morning closer and closer
and i hide behind the trees
in shade where i used to let others rest
by trying too hard to be altruistic.
my heart now gleams silver,
like confetti in broad day light,
isn't it high time,
to be a little self-altruistic?
for this is all i have –
this realm in my mind
wandering aimlessly
amidst my thoughts I can't name
all this while i only faught
those non-identical emotions
only to end up even more conflicted.
it's high time that i choose to fly,
albeit the heat being as scalding as ever,
maybe i'll make peace with the sunlight too,
as i did with the moonlight.
