Everyone has a dream about their future, dreams of being successful, of reaching great heights and being at the top of the world. But rarely does anyone follow these dreams, rarely does anyone truly work hard at achieving success.
Almost 95% of the people living in this world try to adjust their dreams in their hearts. Everyone becomes so caught up, in the competitive race of life, that they forget to focus on themselves and their dreams. They run and run and run, but they are unable to get satisfaction.
How disappointing is it that rarely, is someone able to say that they are satisfied with their life, that they are able to get happiness from doing what they love.
It's ok you know, to quit what you don't love, to follow your passion, and to fail in it. Yes, failure happens in every field, you will face disappointment everywhere, but when you really love what you are doing, you will never give up. You will fight all the battle until you achieve success in it.
So, stop running in the race of life, take a walk along the road that you love. Follow your passion and give everything you can in that field. One day, you will reach the place where you always wanted to be at.

Money or passion? What are your thoughts on this?
Many advise to "follow your passion". But considering the capitalist system that we are born into, is following our passion despite the low pay worth it?
I think what people overlook when discussing over this matter is the issue of "privilege". Those who say, "follow your passion", are either privileged who can afford to lose a high-paying job and still afford to live comfortably.
See, if you're a breadwinner of the family, would you really choose to pursue something that you love despite seeing your family suffering due to lack of finances?
Lucky are you if you find a job that pays and also suits your passion. But how many people out of 100 fit into this idea?
If there's something that we must understand, believing that we'll become the Mark Zuckerberg or Bill Gates is not impossible but definitely hard. Remember, they are dropouts of HARVARD. And they must have hella lot of talent and social/financial capital to work on their ideas. And me? I have lots of dreams too. I can learn to code like Mark or I can learn design like Steve Jobs but I still lack the resources to work on my million dollar ideas (lol, assuming.). I can barely buy materials for my research.
I'm not trying to be pessimistic and definitely not encouraging you to give up on your dreams. But passion is fleeting. How sure are you that after 2 years you still have that passion? Like me, my passion was to be in academe then get tenure, do research. Now after 3 years of teaching in univ, I realize that I just want to be a housewife and bake cakes for Mohan. Lol. I'm kidding.
Anyway, the thing is, have balance. Grab that diploma, don't drop out from college. And school is funnn! You may not enjoy the tests but the memories you'll build with your friends will definitely be worth it. You can still work on your ideas on the side.
Also, have a stable job BUT find ways or time to pursue your passion. If you work on that passion full-time even when you can barely sustain your needs, believe me, you'll end up hating it. Burnout is real!
Try different things. Explore a lot of ideas. Keep the passion burning but make sure to take care of your finances also. Save! Save! Save! Invest! Until you're financially stable enough to leave your job then work on that thing you love so much.

The other parts in me tell them to stop over reacting
Look around you here,
Everyone's smiling,
Everyone's talking,
Everyone's laughing...
Except you.
Everyone's happy.
Except me.
Everyone has their problems under control.

Slow mow of their lives and there's no denying it's thriving
While mine is dying
Struggling to survive.
Why am I not trying hard enough.
These are the lies my anxiety faces me with.
To get by drowning in these tides
I began prescribing my own spirit awakening highs
Becoming addicted to my insides
My inner world deepened more than any eyes I've ever gotten lost in.
The swirl,
The twirls of colors Curled me in more than caring lovers during acts of careful sin
I begin again
And again until I pin down exactly why
I feel the need to tie my ties until the bare skin
Tints pink
Camouflaged in ink I sink into the background
To hide the fact that I'm young and scared
With no support I dared myself to share
What I've truly felt
To let the world see the inner core of my tree
Maybe I believed some teen would need to hear
My creative outlet
To outbet death in a game of suicide chess
This mess slingshotting out of my mouth is a
Thank you to all the artists brave enough to pursue their passion
Indirecrly ensuring that
My hopeless Crying never evolved into acts of dying
Ensuring that a 13 year old experiencing her first depression
Never gave up trying.
