Oh, she cried the blues, Not once, not twice, A gazillion times,
Crocodiles in her eyes, so staunch in their chore, That rising and eventide of sun can get shy,
Oh, he became her crying towel! I pity him, She will leech him off before the half-light,
Oh, she cried all the way to the bank, From their arms of solace, Meant to wane her misery,
And I witnessed appalled, On her; capitalising from goodwill, On me; for keeping quiet,
Oh, she explained herself: A bed of rose is what I want for you, You don't know the shadows of truce, You can say you'd rather live in a shack, But baby, milk and honey is a crying need,
I was as much convinced, As Jophiel had been to Eve and Adam, She was just crying stinking fish,
Still I wonder, Does she know, She is crying for the moon?
To be honest, I don't know who "she" is. It's just a fictional character that came to my mind and I can't help but give it some picture. A child witnessing her gold-digger mom, mooching off her mogul husbands. (Not to offend anyone. It's just part of imagination)
So, the meaning of idioms used in it are:
To cry the blues : To complain about something usually with the goal of gaining sympathy from others.
A crying towel : A person who listens to others griefs and try to make them feel better.
To cry all the way to the bank : To make profit from doing something that one should be ashamed of.
A crying need : A desperate need for someone or something.
To cry stinking fish : To put oneself down
To cry for the moon : To make a request that is impossible to achieve or unlikely to happen.
clichepennameThat was innovative yar. I could see the efforts you put in it. Very well thought out and executed. Crocodiles in her eyes that was my favourite line. This is really high on the creativity scale.
