I have a particular linking towards the movie "Piku" because it portrays how beautifully a daughter takes her father's old-age responsibility in her own hands. It reveals the father-daughter bond and shows women can do Anything if they want. 'Piku' didn't give up on her father no matter what. Isn't just in the movie, I have come across women who have wonderfully taken their parents responsibility. My elder sister, the one I admire so much has managed to perfectly balance her own life and her parents responsibility. Growing up to watch the beautiful and strong woman in my life is a blessing.
Cheers to all my sisters here! We rock✌️ P.s : A small post dedicated to my elder sister.
Omg, does that still exist? Well I don't see any. All I see is the newspapers with rape cases, female foeticide, murders and harassment. I don't think it exists.
If that exists, then why are fathers mourning for their daughters who lacked safety in a country that has millions of people in it?
If that exists, then why are girls carrying pepper spray and knife in their hand bags?
If that exists, then why are women's college existing? I don't know. If freedom exists, then why are girls dressing what the society likes? I don't think she is living for the society. God made her and it's her right to decide how to live.
If you say there's freedom, then why is she asked to stay inside when there's bunch of men standing out? I guess they both are humans, and she isn't some alien to enter the street.
If you believe there's freedom, then why does she have to be afraid to step out in the dark? because snakes would harm her? or dogs would bite her? NO!! it's because ANIMALS would rape her. yeah, they're animals.
If she's blamed for wearing jeans, if she's humiliated for wearing T-shirt, why are men not blamed for seeing her lustfully? why is the shit society not enquiring what those men doing in that dark night outside?
In the hall among many, She stood out. Why? Because it was rare, Almost nonexistent to see A woman blend in with men. The same men, Who were against women Asking for their rights because, In their heads, They already have those. She battled with words: 'You, privileged gender, May think I have all my rights but yet, You prove that my kind does not.' How? You try to silence us With your roars. You try to hush our screams And turn them into whispers, Many even succeed. But if we do not have the right to speak Then how can you say, We have all the rights that we need? Among this stands the man, I call my predator, who had all the Confidence in this world that he would touch me and I would stay silent. And I did stay silent for a long time. Why? Because I was born in a society Where sexual awareness Was considered taboo. Where a million more girls Had to stay silent because of one fear, Who would believe when even The name is frowned upon. . . . . #women#females#womenempowerment#awarness#writersnetwork#mirakee#standup#dontstaysilent#unity@mirakee@writersnetwork
