OCD
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a disorder in which people have recurring, unwanted thoughts, ideas or sensations (obsessions) that make them feel driven to do something repetitively (compulsions).
Its not only related to washing hands, rechecking etc.
It was 7 years back...
A girl who was in high school, was not happy with her skin colour.
Better to say she feel little when watching other with fair skin tone.
Her brothers used to make fun of her.
How "KAALI" she's and how different she is.
Hence these "so called opinions" make her feel "OBESSIVE" about her colour.
These unwanted, continous and unavoidable thoughts make her feeling worst about herself.
To overcome these obessions, she find a way.
She started using a "STEROID CREAM"
(These types of cream are used for lightening skin colour)
Within just few days of usage her skin colour changed exceptionally.
Getting compliments was a like Goal Achievement. No more heartbreaking comments.
This become a "COMPULSION" for her.
She couldnt stop herself using that cream, as when she stop using it small acne bumped in her face.
This continous for around 5-6 years...
Now she's in category of fair coloured people.
Hurray...
It was in 2021 she realized her skin was getting thin each day.
Now it's so sensitive that even lotion reacts on her skin making her face red entirely. There were rashes, uneven skintone , dryness , hyperpgimentation and what's not.
Her face was more dull than earlier in her teenage.
She went to the " dermatologist ".
You wont believe what doctor said :
"USING SUCH CREAMS JUST FOR 10 DAYS IS EXTREMELY HARMFUL, and you're using it from such a long time. You can understand how much you need to pay for it now. Your skin will take alot of time to get back to normal. As these creams break the barricades of skin and allowing all skin problems comming altogether "
*These creams also causes Cancer*
This girl was me.
And sharing this experience was for only one reason.
BODY SHAMING can be of any type
As teens we are filled with n no of harmonal changes which resulted in different bodily problems.
For this the takeaway is :
♒ Stop using these creams as early as possible.
♒ Consult the doctor at the earliest.
♒Make sure not to reuse these creams again no matter what.
♒ Love yourself as you are.
♒ As a parent and as a society make sure you don't comment on children's colour or body changes.
♒ As an adult you first need to accept harmonal changes is not a taboo.
♒ Please, dont make fun of your children.

Few days back one family came to my house for my rista.
My father told me to apply BB Cream to look white and he said
"Apan ko kisi bhi halat me apne aap ko pasand karvana hi hai iss bar. Aur unhone aap se pucha ki ap shadi ke bad padhyengi ya job krengi to apko "haan" nahi bolna hai, apko bolna hai jese apke ghar me hoga me vesa karungi"
That uncle asked my father-
Shadi me aap kitna karcha karengy?
Or apni beti ko kya kya dengy?
Ahh! Can you now see the correlation!
Every girl has been told:
"Bardast karna seekho"
"Ladki ghar se dulhan banke jaati hai par vapis अर्थी mehi aati hai"
Etc etc.....
1) First correct this "BARDAST" meaning and set a limit.
2) Dont push your daughter's into a Marriage where her worth is not weighted
3) Accept "TALAAK" as an option. Do not think what others will say.
4) take "Pre-Matrial counseling" to fill those missing gaps.
5) Compromise and adjustments are part of every relationship but that's not a thing of only one partner.
6) As a parent , Make your daughters Believe that you'll be there no matter what.
As a girl what can you do?
1) Observe thoroughly
2)Talk straightforward
3)check whether there's possibility of Compromise! If yes, is it from both the sides?
4) Do not marry someone when you're heart is saying No.
5) where DEMANDS are first, you first and last option should be always NO
6)You can never be without an option remember that and allah is with you.

Is Life fair?

These questions fucks the heart.
The timeline of our lives wants and desires

The heart can't keep up

And all i want is a job that help me survive
She's been married for 3 years
I can't even attract a guy
Dude got a promotion
But I bring better results than he does
She has two kids already
And i have none despite the chastity
We are in a world whose rules seems paradoxical
You do good, you get bad
And those who do worse, get paid in good kind
What kind of life do I have?
The real question is
What do we do to make sense out of all of it?
The answer
Nobody knows, Every one tries
Some suceed, some do not
But then, that's life.

I love people who fight for what they believe in, providing it's for a fairer world and I love how they encourage others to speak of their truths, I love how these people, despite being tossed to the sides and ignored, they keep on fighting and never giving up. I love them for their honesty and courage. Those are my kind of people. Fighting for a better world

Just Ice
When I heard the word JUSTICE,
I thought of something cool,
Like water, air,
Or even the harmattan,
I thought of something real,
Like the blue of the sky,
And the green of the ground in sweet supple Summer...
But,
Society sells water now,
And the air we breathe has thickened
(With what? You tell me.)
We face the backside of the harmattan,
(The sun in our throats, the dust at our feet, what can't you see?),

So when I hear the word JUSTICE,
I think of the faded blues and colorless leaves,
I think of it as Just Ice,
Ice so cold it burns.

Fair
I've heard a million times that the world isn't fair
Its something I brush off my shoulder, never really giving it any thought
That was until I witnessed firsthand that the world truly, wasn't fair. Its not just a saying or a comeback, its something that holds truth. Nothing here is fair. And I find it unsettling that I have to sit here and deal with. That's there is nothing I can do about it.
Its not fair.
