Shades of enlightenment
I stared at the empty canvas, and it stared back at me,
Perhaps it wanted to be filled with joy, hope, and tranquility,
So I looked for the brightest colours, but there weren't any,
Though the darker shades in my palette, were just so many!
Could I sketch patience with shades of gray?
And would hues of blue ever colour a bright new day?
What if the darkness of black could make way for a silver lining?
And midnight skies could be beacons of hope, with bright stars shining?
Enlightened, I finally embraced the dark, making strokes with ease,
With all the darkness around me, I finally painted peace!
