A master piece
They called it
A soul of the people
A reflection of goodness
Is what it used to be
It's kindness and love
Upset and uplifted equally
In the end it exploded
They broke the glass
Tore the heart up
Stomped on its ink
And spit on its remains
The ugliness of envy
Jealousy and greed
With time
It stood tall again
Patched up with gold
Embracing it's cracks
And praising it's scars
A symbol of strength
It became
To all broken hearts

मावळता सूर्य ताळपतो म्हणून तो सुंदर होत नाही, त्याचा दाह आपल्या पर्यंत पोहोचत नाही म्हणून तो छान, सुंदर, देखणा, नयनरम्य असं बरंच काही आपल्याला वाटतो. असंच होतं खूपदा, आपल्याला छान, गोड वाटणाऱ्या परिस्थिती मागे काय सत्य दडलेलं असेल आपण कधीच सांगू शकत नाही!!

I had somehow always tended to believe that all that was wrong in my life was due to some fault of mine. It's taken me quite a few years to finally acknowledge the fact that not all things were under my control and that the people who wronged me were responsible for those events, not their contorted idea of victim shaming.
Although it's still a work-in-progress, I've begun accepting the fact that I am worthy of all things good: love, progress, freedom.

I walked through this dark forest
Dreadful in its dead foliage.
I knew I'm but an innocent traveler
Yet somehow I only was to blame.
For the mourning in these woods
And their ineptitude in rebirth.
I was increasingly a part of that rot
For my mind and entire jungle told me so.
Then came a sliver of light that
Carved a stitch across my torso.
And I began to question my sanity
For if I were a part of dead,
How could a source of existence
Stream anywhere close to me?
So wasn't this a definitive proof
That I still had in me some life?
And thus began the tedious walk
To cross this fallen behemoth.
It was a strenuous effort to move
Shedding all those layers of grime.
I was raw to the very last bone
In the effort to wipe myself clean.
My treacherous heart beat ferociously
Bringing in that sense of foreboding.
Now I've reached the edge of woodlands
Apprehension soaking through me.
But just as I think of turning back
A clear stream tantalizes my view.
Parched to the core of my being
I rush towards the teeming freshness.
This is what I had always deserved
All things of beauty and peace.

सफ़ेद बर्फ की चादर में,

पैर गलाने वाली सर्दी में भी,
ये अपने मिशन पे अड़े है...
जहाँ पानी तो क्या इंसान भी जम जाए,
उस न्यून तापमान में रहे हैं,
फिर भी अपने देश प्रेम के आगे,
ये उफ़्फ़ तलक ना करे हैं...
दिन रात दुश्मन से सावधान रहते,
साथ में गलन से भी लड़े हैं,
ये ऐसी धरा के 'हिम स्तम्भ' हैं,
जो हमारी खातिर खड़े है...

बाबा, आपकी चिट्ठी पढ़ मैं गद गद हुआ,
आपने उसमें हमारे जीवन के हर पहलू को छुआ,
हाँ हम थोड़ा दूर हो चले थे,
अपने अंदर दबे किसी बोझ के तले थे,
ना जाने मुझे पर उस वक्त क्या ताव था,
जिसके लिए मुझे आपसे अलाव था,
पर सच कहूँ बाबा आप हमेशा मेरे दिल में रहे,
बिन बोले भी आप मुझे सही राह दिखाते रहे,
खो दिया जो वक्त हमने वो तो नहीं ला सकते,
पर बपचन के वो पल हम फिर से हैं दोहरा सकते,
धन्यवाद बाबा, माँ को मनाने के लिए,
मेरी तरफ से समझाने के लिए,
आऊँगा जब मैं, सब मिल कर एक संग हँसेगें,

Late Night Movies
There was something about late night movies, not only in weekends but also during school days. Hailing the seasons order

With the utmost care
They kissed the scorched earth
Which once gave them birth
And now when they've rained
It embraced them all again
Those dried crumpled leaves
They were barely breathing
With humans running around
Death was close and sneaking
When it finally came
When they lost the life's game
It was a selfless act
Not done for some fame
They had made their way
So their mother could look green
Instead of an oldie
She could once again be a teen
Their love for the tree
Was the real unconditional one
Which was boasted by many
But mastered by only some
In this cruel selfish world
