Being a caregiver has its challenges. It is mandatory to be very strong and nonchalant. This is written for all those who are faced with different emotions that go with it and it's my way of saying "you arent alone". Remember that the greatest battles are fought by strongest soldiers. Keep your chin up.
sproutedseedsGood morning asha. Yeah I have missed a couple of your posts. I am busy due to change in residence. Honestly in between the unpacking chores I give a glance to mirakee. Pl don't mind my late response.
This post is beyond normal words of appreciation. Every word in each stanza is truth penned in a rhyming pattern.
Yes, at the end, it is a blessing serving the aged but easy to say difficult to go through each day.
Rainy nights are not always about romance,, song and dance. It can also remind one of the Cold and cruel phase of one's life, the old age. It's not enough if you just take care of senior citizens, they deserve all the love and respect. Always watch your tone and never hurry them up as they speak. Being a caregiver is stressful no doubt but nothing warrants from being rude and making one feel so miserable..

This poem is dedicated to @john_solomon Jack, you are an example for all. You are a phenomenal human and a great son. I have been tinkering with this post for a while. I hope you enjoy/like it. God bless you honey.
john_solomonOh wow Bonnie, this was so kind of you, really brought a tear to my eyes . It's kinda strange when that role reversal happens and you become the parent at a certain age, but my sisters both have their own families so this position fell on me... And I wouldn't have it any other way!
