Zombies
The darkest night
This faintest light
That strangest sight
The odour of yesterday
This stench of decay
That smell of dismay
The warning was ignored
This morning it poured
That increased their horde
The dead had come alive
This evil must be denied
That means we must survive
The backup has been called
This army will defend it's walls
That shows we won't take a fall
The battle was fought hard
This ended up about fifty yards
That flag says we're still on guard
The evil has been defeated
This event must not be repeated
That gives us back our freedom

जो जिंदगी अगर फीकी है तो रंग भरना जरूरी है
जो घम अगर जरूरी है तो हसीं से भर दो ।
मालिक वफा कहां मिलती है दीवानों को इस जिंदगी में
जो बेबाक बातों में बात नहीं उन बातों को ढंग कर दो ।
मिलता नहीं जो तराना उस दीवानगी का नाम क्या बताएं
खून से सने हाथों में मेंहदी का रंग भर दो ।
कुछ शब्द ऐसे हैं जिनका इब्न करना नही चाहिए
वैसे तो चूम कर माथे को छोड़ना भी नहीं चाहिए ।
की मिलती रहती हैं हमे इन्कलाब ख्वाइशें सपनों के दरिया में
कभी कुछ ना कह कर चुप भी रहना चाहिए ।

घंटों तक ताने सुने हैं उनके
वो आगोश में आ जाएं ये बात मुमकिन नहीं
रास्तों पे घंटों चलें हैं उनके इंतजार में
वो रो लें ये मुमकिन नहीं
आंसू पोछने कई कंधे हैं उनके दरबार में
वो थाम लें हाथ मेरा ये मुमकिन नहीं
हाथों की लकीरें बदल गई हैं शायद मेरी
वो रूठ जाएं ये मुमकिन नहीं
घंटों मानते हुए बीते हैं लम्हे मेरे
वो याद करलें ये मुमकिन नहीं
यादों में टूट के जीने का हक सिर्फ मेरा है
वो चुन लें हमें ये मुमकिन नहीं

My soul reeks in pain. Shouting, crawling under my eyes are the broken shards of an image that i created and aspired to achieve.
With each passing day my voice breaks off only to lie in a corner, living in the grief of burial. The burial of all which matters as the day goes on. The burial of thoughts among queer minded. The burial of voice amongst the valiant. The burial of truth among the mongrels who terrorise.
With each passing day i stay aloof.
Thinking about why i do what i do. How is it not peaceful when everything is morally right.
What is and what could be are the two things that matter in the end. Or do they?
A hundred thousand thoughts grow like roots among the millions of firing neurons which make me stay awake.
My soul shouts to anyone and everyone hearing this that there is no way to come out of it that i can find. That I don't need your pity nor your prayers to find the shining sunlight on this gloomy night. As i walk past the forest of untold mysteries i find myself stuck. Only to find that i am chained again. Riveting my thoughts on the goal i wander again. I don't know what i seek.
But i do know that i will find it.

Attempt we do to understand ourselves
In privacy, far away from prying eyes
It is easier to blend in a crowd
Than to stand aloof without any disguise.
How do we bare ourselves to others ?
Will they ever accept us for who we are ?
How can we expect someone to embrace us
When we are unwilling to welcome our own flaws?
Are we the people we pretend to be ?
Or the ones we are actually inside ?
Isn’t it easier to adopt a personality that
Doesn’t always need to hide ?
We talk about acceptance while feigning
Our own selves in layers of grime
It takes strength to say “this is me” unapologetically
Stand alone, unafraid and shine.

Peices of Sara
Sara loved him, Sara strained
Sara cried, but he ignored it when she was pained
It was a slow, expected loss
Because she always tried, but his wish was boss.
Attempt number one,
This is it, I'm done
Don't give up, it'll happen one day!
He was handsome, she was enchanted
But like a element taken for granted
The love Sara gave he took and stole,
And he made her play the servant role.
Attempt number two,
This should be a breakthrough.
Peices of Sara were left behind
Peices of her heart and peices of her mind
Sara isn't whole
They're chipping at her soul
She's like a scroll of delicate words,
Read aloud but drowned out by firebirds.
Pieces of Sara are with everyone who left
Peices of Sara are taken when you leave her depressed.
But when he sends flowers first,
How was Sara supposed to know he'd be the worst?
Forced and exhorted, by that he was amused
"She's lying, how the hell is she abused?"
Distressed, oppressed.
Attempt number three,
How hard can this be?
Solid in morality, beautiful in formality,
He never pressed her or undressed her
At first she was frightened,
But then it was his hand around hers that tightened
And she felt the warmth in that day,
She felt like a loved bouquet
Attempt number four,
Look at the fruit this tree bore.
Peices of Sara were left behind,
Her heart with ashes signed.
He's finding the missing links that they took,
He's listening to the pages of her book.
The world left holes,
These peices of Sara it now controls.
Just remember that you leave peices where you go,
Through heartbreak, through touch, we'll never know.
