Feeling down... we often listen to motivational speeches on different platforms. Every single time the people are there sharing their success stories and sometimes instead of being motivated we find ourselves more worthless. But wait, have you ever thought about what actually the success is? Is they all are really successful? What we are learning from them? Let me explain, for example there is a person who cracked the highest competitive exam, so he is going to share his side of story, his struggle, hard work, ups and downs. Long story short, you would learn 4-5 things from him, probably how to focus, be consistent and some tips and tricks... More or less this is true for every other, we are taught the stories of high achievers, but no one is telling the story of one, who worked the same hard but didn't Crack the exam because he is not an achiever, the non-achiever after putting a lot of effort has faced unfavorable circumstances which he couldn't imagine, making one's heart and mind work for, what he didn't want, now he has to Rebound, lacking support and validation from society and sometimes from family but still going on.... If you listen to him, he will teach you 10 things, five about exam (do's and don'ts as well) and five about life... Now coming back to our question what actually the success is? The answer is simple "Success is Self-Satisfaction" If you are satisfied with your current position, with the rate of your growth, you are successful if you're not then try to be... Success doesn't cost the peace of mind and heart and if it do, then it is not success.
Faith.... Few days back I've found a stray cat with her two kittens in my backyard, playing there and sheltered in the junk room. I randomly gave some meat leftovers, they enjoyed. I did the same, next day. Every time I stepped in my backyard, they started licking my feet, having no fear. Whenever, they are hungry, they sit near the door of backyard and started hissing. I don’t own them but as I just fed them few times, they have developed a faith in me. We humans are not even close to those little kittens in our faith, we are fed by Him when we haven’t arrived in this world till yet and He has promised to feed us till our death, no matter who you are a believer or not, a womanor man, poor or rich. He is performing his duty in parity. But we never bother to sit at His door, never call Him, and if we do we lack the faith and consistency of kittens. When we find that there is no way but darkness all around, why don’t we are able to see You instead of darkness. I believe that the kittens are far ahead from me in Faith…
As the Pakistan cricket team played very sangfroidly and ditheringly, and pursued the score without losing any wicket and with some balls remaining, made us proud,so I thought of writing something for them, so here goes my poem.
Sangfroid here means calmly and dithering means hesitate.
Simile works as a therapy. It releases certain hormones and neurotransmitters within our body as serotonin, dopamine and endorphins. Serotonin is an anti-depressant. It elevates the mood and generally all anti-depressant drugs increased serotonin uptake in our brains. Dopamine is hormone of happiness and produce the feelings of pleasure and joy. Endorphins are natural painkillers. They work like opioids, not only suppress the physical pain but also the emotional pain. The question is when a person is already devastated how can he smile? The answer is Gratitude. Gratitude is the only way which makes you optimistic, holds a ray of hope in the darkness and keeps one going on. It makes one realize that the " glass is half full"
And surprisingly smile works as a two way therapy. The one who smiles and the one who receives.
And above all its SUNNAH Abdullah ibn al-Harith reported: I have not seen anyone smile more often than the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. ■Source: Sunan al-Tirmidhī 3641■
