Her heart pounds in waves of ocean sounds.
Surf her winding curves, count her freckles, know her scars, and name her free.
For she is woman profound with rights to every privilege owed her sex.
Rage against norms that chafe you raw dear girl and know that beneath your body a tsunami grows.
Flood the ground, drown out the sound, and rise unbidden.
Unbreakable, unbound, unburdened, now known...no longer unheard.
In roaring millions does woman's mouth move the world.

    She was never loved
    She was just owned
And the day she denied being owned
    They tagged her uncultured
    They conveniently distance themselves
    And she still thinks
    That she was wrong
    Is it her fault
Or the society she is living in
    making hell for all

    Sukoon

Aksar rat ko aisa lagta h...

Jaise zindagi mein kuch pana reh sa gaya ho
Jaise khwaish koi adhoori si chhut gai ho
Jaise jeevan mein kuch hasil karna bhool si gai hu
Yakeen uth sa jata h jab zindagi do rahe pe khadi kar deti h
Khud pe bharosa kar nahi pati jab kabiliyat se kam sa milta nazar aata h
Zindagi ajeeb si lagti h jab piche chhut jane ka gum u raat bhar satata h

    Aksar aisa hota h.......

Modern society is like a bird- whose one wing is male and another wing is female. And these two wings must flap equally- then only the bird will fly, the society will progress️

Well, it is women's day. I don't have anything in particular to add specifically to the cause of women world wide, but I guess the socialist cause is inherently a cause that empowers women. More power to my sisters world wide! More power to my feminist comrades and friends who continue with the struggle of parity against patriarchal hegemony.
    Solidarity remains!

    Strength in truth

    Let none fight
    With raw contempt,
    Let none rise
    Without reflection.
    The world we build
    Must be one of truth,
    Where none deny
    Just conclusions.
    The expanse ahead
    For those that see,
    Is one of melancholy
    And of dismal strife;
    But our united fronts
    Need strong foundation,
    And keen, honest insight
    Into working lives.

    One can't expect
    There to be liberation
    Without deliberation
    Over the days to come;
    Visions must be refined
    With ruthless critique
    Of our very cause
    Lest we too succumb,
    To the capital web
    Laid out to trap
    Those feebly pursuing
    Quick results;
    For the cause of people
    Won't come true with coercion,
    But with education impartial
    That no master serves.

*An Open Letter To All Who Identify As Women*

    Dear Women,

First of all, happy women’s day. I personally didn’t use to believe in a special day to appreciate you. Having been raised by a woman who handled finances, household, and family(s), I was never under the impression that patriarchy existed. My father would give the utmost respect to my mother. And my mother would make sure that my father’s mental health wasn’t suffering due to the societal expectations placed upon him. So, I had no clue that there was any inequality among the genders until I observed other people around me. The first time I noticed was when a female teacher told a classmate, a girl, to sit like one. I questioned myself about what that even meant. I was 3 or 4, mind you. Probably my teacher was rightfully worried about the male gaze, prompting me to question, why can’t men care about it? It’s just a skirt she was wearing.

As I grew older, I realized that this was everywhere. Patriarchy, as its called, wasn’t just bad for you, but men too. There is a reason why more men commit suicide than women. Ever since I was a child, I observed that boys were taught to not share their feelings. They were taught that this is what makes them a man. And to that, I called bullshit. That is when I became a feminist.

We were taught that you are the weaker gender. And I still remember asking myself, how? I mean, you bring new life to the world. How are you the weaker ones? You carry a child in your bellies, bearing the pains all through and during labour. So, where did this notion of you being weaker came from? Were the past men so scared of women that they built a society to restrain women's wings?

I keep questioning, only to conclude that men do owe you two things. First, an apology. For making you feel unsafe to go out, for not letting you wear what you want to, for binding you to our liking for generations, among countless others. Second, gratitude. For making our lives better, for making our world better.

    So,
From a man who is confident of his masculinity, I’m Sorry and Thank You.

    Love,
    SCAS.

PS, You need pockets. I’m tired of carrying your stuff in mine.

    Choose To Challenge

    She doesn't fear darkness
Keeps fighting against all the bias
    Proudly wears wisdom and Courage
    Women choose to challenge

    She who doesn't discriminate
    Between tall, fair and thin
    She who always gets fulminated
And gets treated like a goblin
She who was believed to only take care of parentage
    Women choose to challenge

From being called timid & weak to her remold,
As of now being Independent, strong-minded, self-sufficient and bold.
The journey of women from the struggle to their fights..
From getting opposed by all to establishing their rights
Fear in society of being called as a spoilage
Despite all the odds women choose to challenge

Voices against inequality, gender parity, tyranny and dominance
Choosing to challenge stereotypes and broaden perceptions and improve situations
    Celebrate all the women's achievements
And women keep on choosing challenge

    International Women's Day

Here's to all the women I know,
I wish that everyday you grow,
    More intense, more powerful
    More complete and more beautiful!
May you conquer all that you dream,
Be it alone or be it in a team!
Here's wishing you a lot of good health,
A dash of prosperity and a wad of wealth!
On this beautiful day in the month of March,
May you find the happiness that you search!!
To grow in strength, to give some more,
You will get it all, just be so sure!
A mother, a daughter, a sister that you are,
A lover, a wife and a dreamer of the stars!
A pilot, an astronaut, a dancer you can be,
A professional, a home maker, always a busy bee!
Just stay strong and hold your head high,
There is no limit, but just the sky!
Fly high, touch the sky, be as free as you want!
Float amidst the clouds, all colours you can flaunt!
Dress up, dress down, just go out and slay!
    Here's wishing you a Happy Women's Day!

    She wants to be free
    Just for a fleeting moment,
    But she is held captive
    And that's her greatest torment!

She is guilty of her gender,
So she keeps her head down,
    Going about her world
    Hiding her frown!

She is held down by ropes
    Of relationships and expectations
She goes on silently for days,
    With the strength of patience!

    She is a culprit of
    A world full of dogmas
    She is kept in check
    By all the social stigmas!

    She wants to float,
To break free of all bondages
    She hides her wounds,
    Under bales of bandages!

    Because she is an epitome
    Of grace and strength,
She has to carry the world
    On her shoulders' length!

    But she keeps a flame
    Alive in her heart
    That one day she will
    Begin anew from the start!

On occasion of International Women's Day, this poem is for everyone who was, is, or will be made a victim of patriarchy. For all the other, very few, truly liberated women, it is indeed a Happy Women's Day!!

    Little does she know

    "A baby girl is born,
    Congratulations", said the sister.
    Nose, just like her father,
eyes, very similar to her mother.
    Little does she know that
    a dark world awaits her.
    Full of stereotypes and patriarchy.

She's born as a gift beyond measure,
    a wonder to hold and
    a lifetime to treasure.
    Little does she know that
    an unknown battle awaits her.
    Where the society will try
to characterize her the way they want.
To mold her as they grant.

"But, don't you worry my little angel",
    said her mother.
"You'll grow up to be a woman brave enough,
    using your wisdom you'll
    slash the orthodoxical bluff.
A numerous struggle you'll come across
but, little do you know that
    you'll conquer them all".

In the curve of her hips

And the plains of her waist

    have pains from the

    surgeon's knife lingered.

Yet on and on she struts,

    choosing to challenge

    unfavourable norms-

    Choosing to become a

    mountain of strength

    in all its glory.
