    [ Baby Steps ]

Before I ever left the womb
    I had a count and a rank
I was a body at disposal
For the war or the bank
    There'd be a forming and a fashion
    And a plan to partake
    A statistic yet determined
    An agenda yet blank

Before I ever learned to speak
They had me marvel the sights
They'd put a flag within my hand
And let me wave with delight
Amongst the cooing and the murmurs
I was a product of plight
But when the bombs burst in the air
    What was drawn was fright

Before I ever learned to stand
I had a hand in the battle
    Strolling patriotic parades
    With veterans dismantled
    Showing “support for the troops”
Each one a story to tattle
Then they'd be shocked back to the terrors
By the automatic shakes of my rattle

Before I ever learned to read
They had me trained in submission
    Had me following in footsteps
    Of an ancient religion
    Never questioning the folly
    Of timeless superstitions
Had me pledging my whole life
    To a flag of division

    Divided, the nation
Is the one I was raised in
    Where corrupt politics
    Form the congregation
    Where identity's lost
    To the illusion of patrons
    And neighbors spark civil wars
Over who can best lead the nation

    This is the hatred
    That I learned and practiced
    State educated
    Enforced by harassment
    Violence begot
    To the violence of masses
    All faithful to State
    And its deplorable tactics

    These are the bindings
    That once held me encumbered
    Mindless to the State
While my heart stay in slumber
    Spineless to the truth
That all war is a blunder
And while love was laid dormant
    We were all tore asunder

    All ripped apart
    From love and compassion
    All serving evil
    While forming our factions
    Duteously marching
    Baby steps in reaction
    To the forming of soldiers
    And willing assassins

Note: Was going to post this earlier, but my cousin and I spent precious time playing our favorite games! Here it is now!

    -- Ivory Tusks --

Now, they will point their shotguns to the innocent
Hoping, for its loot they'll see so magnificent
If even the most exiguous those will ever be
Still killing for their own unquenchable degrees

Ivories bedaubing them in their sense of richness
Even involving are the colloquies for its grandness
Though, they seem to forget that they're erasing them
Just like deforestation, all without a pitiful requiem

Now, the money sings its power and dominance
Sympathy has frozen in an endless trance
Tusks are all coming in as the gods to praise
For the animals to suffer without even a raise

Now, they will continue on, for ivories they find
If not, then how'll they feed their indoctrinated mind?
Since it's blinded by it, will changes to them shine?
Shining brighter is the money that's utterly sublime

    -- Indoctrination --

Society is unwavered, as they fool themselves
With erroneous ideas they'd gratefully yelp
At the sensitive ears enunciating its deemed will
When it fact, it can put everyone at a standstill

Lacking clear convexity as it won't reveal the truth
Like the winds passing through the gaps of the tooth
Like the demagogues in their lawlessly famed suits
When the backbone of the truth doesn't even have its roots

Effacing traces of the solely weeping facticities
Only to be seeing vestiges of its veracity
Lame, as the deemed "truths" run with blind certainty
Leading them nowhere, only to be casually fooling

Lava seemed just like the rutilant water
Spring is often twisted with the crystal winter
Anguished cries seemed to be one's fake roleplays
Afterlife just seemed like some visions of grey

Vacillating slightly as they continue their indoctrination
Unworthy visages marked by the soulless susurrations
Injecting chemicals into the minds of the innocent
To their divine Gods, they will blindly condescend

    Illusion

In the altar of the deity,
    What deters you to defy,
    As the stone stares bewildered,
Neither your fortune changed or chalked.

    The Great Entertainers

"Roman gladiator games were an opportunity for Emperors and rich aristocrats to display their wealth to the populace, to commemorate military victories, mark visits from important officials, celebrate birthdays and simply to distract the populace from the political and economic problems of the day."

"The Romans continued the practice, holding games roughly 10 to 12 times in an average year. Paid for by the emperor, the games were used to keep the poor and unemployed entertained and occupied. The emperor hoped to distract the poor from their poverty in the hopes that they would not revolt." - History

In order to fail, you must first have a notion of what it means to fail.

We acquire our notions of success and failure from our culture, our society. In this respect, failure is a figment of the imagination.

    Self taught

    Dumb it down with bureaucracy
Scarlet tape covers the mouths of
Kids and parents. Silence no more, I vow. I will not allow another seed to be indoctrinated. Do not separate the janitors from the judges. There are no winners and losers here, just kids. Humans learn to cultivate their minds and survive. Students are bred to be workers, robots, wage slaves and failures. No child left behind? Why waste any? They need all children defeated and developed into consumers. One will survive despite their ploy. I will save who I can and let her play. Hoping that its not too late to undue the damage. I am guilty of being a pawn for them in their system of instilling fear. I was duped but woke up. She is free. Free to learn from life far from all schools.
