ಉಡಾವಣೆ ಭಾಗ 1
ದಿನಾಂಕ ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ನೆನಪಿಲ್ಲ, ಇಸ್ರೋದವರು ಒಂದಿಷ್ಟು ಉಪಗ್ರಹಗಳನ್ನ ಹಾರಿಸಿದ ಮಾರನೆಯ ದಿನ. ನಮ್ಮ ಕಛೇರಿಯಲ್ಲಿನ ನನ್ನ ಕನ್ನಡ-ತೆಲುಗು ಸಹಪಾಠಿಗಳ (ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರ) ಗುಂಪಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕಾಶಯಾನ ಮತ್ತು ಗುರುತ್ವಾಕರ್ಷಣೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆಯದ್ದೇ ಚರ್ಚೆ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ನಮ್ಮ ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ಕಂಪ್ಯೂಟರ್ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರೂ, ನಮಗೆ ಆಕಾಶಯಾನ ಹಾಗೂ ಭೌತಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದ ಅ ಆ ಇ ಈ ಗೊತ್ತಿಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೂ ಅದರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಚರ್ಚೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಜೋರಾಗಿಯೇ ನೆಡೆಯುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಸೂರ್ಯನ ಸುತ್ತ ಸುತ್ತುವ ಗ್ರಹಗಳಿಂದ ಹಿಡಿದು ನ್ಯೂಕ್ಲಿಯಸ್ ಸುತ್ತ ಸುತ್ತುವ ಎಲೆಕ್ಟ್ರಾನವರೆಗೂ ಮಾತುಕತೆ ನೆಡೆಯುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನ ಊಟಕ್ಕೆಂದು ಹೋರಟಾಗಲೂ ಇಸ್ರೋರವರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸಂಭಾಷಣೆ ಮುಂದುವರೆದಿತ್ತು.
ಊಟದ ಕಟ್ಟಡಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದ ನಾವುಗಳು ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಭಾಷಣೆಗೆ ಬಿಡುವು ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಹಸಿವಿನ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಯೋಚಿಸಿದೆವು. ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಸಹಾಪಠಿಗೆ "ನನಗೊಂದು ನಾರ್ತ್ ಮೀಲ್ಸ್ " ಎಂದೆ.
"ಧೀಮಂತ್, ನೀನ್ ಹೋಗಿ ಕೂರೊದಿಕ್ಕೆ ಜಾಗ ಹುಡ್ಕು. ನಾನು ಮೀಲ್ಸ್ ಹಿಡ್ಕೊಂಡು ಬರ್ತಿನಿ" ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಊಟದ ಟೋಕನ್ ತೆಗೆದು ಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಸರದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತ. ಇನ್ನುಳಿದವರು ಬೇರೆ ಕ್ಯಾಂಟಿನ್ಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಊಟ ತರಲು ಸಿದ್ಧರಾದರು. ಜನ ಜಂಗುಳಿಯಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿದ್ದ ಊಟದ ಕಟ್ಟಡದಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ಖಾಲಿ ಮೇಜಿಗಾಗಿ ಹುಡುಕಾಟ ನೆಡೆಸಿದ್ದವು. ಹುಡುಕಾಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಳುಗಿದ್ದ ನನನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಿನಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಬೆಂಗಾಳಿ ಸಹಪಾಠಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ಕರೆದ.

कृष्णा को फुसला या था।

चाँद सितारा मांगा था,

उसका मन बहलाया था।
