Lingering what-ifs

What to do with your lingering what-ifs? I say cut them off and become untethered from those heavy thoughts. It's time that you focus on what's important and forget about those sweet nothings. To hell with empty promises. Fuck not being perfect. Forget about the people who don't give a rat's ass about you. And most importantly, do not dim your light because you are afraid of shining too bright for some. You have been docile for too long. Now it's time to disrupt those barriers around your life and claim your happiness.

When will we Collide

Waiting for you is exhausting. I tell myself that if waiting doesn't work, then I should search for you. To my dismay, my finds always end up being short-lived. I wonder if I'm seeing the world through a different lens because I always fall for people who aren't remotely interested in me. I am unrequited love personified. Poetic, isn't it that the people who are interested in you are the ones you disregard. At this point, I feel like we are parallel lines running the same race, never to collide.

I live inside my head almost every day of my life. My mind was so troubled and disturbed by my crowded thoughts. Life is a beauty that should be gazed upon, but my reality is harsh and full of dismay. I am weird, and that is why I like peculiar things. I am delusional and naive because my mind concocts impossible things and impossible dreams. I am damaged goods I think I am, but I know I'm not. The outer appearance is picture-perfect, so together so shiny, but beneath the surface, I am shattered and corroded.

I Fear

I fear that I will never be happy. I fear that I will never love myself the way I ought to. I fear that I will never overcome my demons. I fear that I will grow old and lonely. I fear that I will not be loved unconditionally. I fear that I will always be misunderstood. I fear that I will not accept myself for who I am and for what I am. I fear that I am not doing enough with my life, and I fear that I am hopelessly hoping for something that will never happen.

Layers of the Mind

My Consciousness
The test of myself and who I am is a constant struggle within my consciousness. The complex layers of my mind are like shards that need to be pieced together so that I can fully understand myself. From this, you can decipher that I am not as together as I appear to be. But why though?
My Fantasy
Because you are trying to correct your brain from the vivid thoughts you have had. Thoughts that you now realized are a result of your maladaptive daydreaming. This simply means that your life is so underwhelming that you try to create an unhealthy reality.
My Reality
But the truth is the more unattainable something is the more desirable it becomes. You are longing for something that will never be realized so don’t allow your mind to warp your fantasy into existence.

No One Gets Me

No one gets me, and I wonder why, is it because I live in my head, creating unrealistic expectations of my life and how it should be. Am I hopelessly delusional concocting impossible dreams? Why is it that I fail to achieve my happy ending, could it be that I am too aware or is it that I am too presumptuous and forward-thinking. Something is missing and I am yet to decide if it is someone or something. It shouldn’t be hard to express how I am feeling, but my cognitive state has so many layers it is extremely difficult to decipher a single mood or thought. One thing I do know for sure though every time I write and listen to outlandish music I unburdened my troubled mind.

Warrior

Constant decay and erosion consume Nova's fractured mind until there is nothing left but sediments of despair and sorrow. Unfortunately, this cold abysmal world is the reason for her current predicament. The question asked, "can she be saved?" but the echoes of nothingness replied. Nova is a lost cause, she is at the point of no return, nothing but an empty vessel parading aimlessly in this dreaded world. Or so it would appear, but somewhere deep within Nova’s subconscious, a spark begins to ignite and started to engulf all of her sorrows. Amazing isn’t it, that a tiny resolve can overcome any situation no matter how dire it may be. Nova's desire to push on despite the cruelty of this world allowed her to rise like a phoenix from the ashes and now her torch burns forever.

Chasm of Midnight Thoughts

I oftentimes deprive myself of being happy or getting too excited, because I am afraid if I do it would only be short-lived. It is not easy to live life booming with optimism because even though many of us try to create that façade, the fact of the matter is we are afraid of being disappointed. Though in the grand scheme of things, it is completely natural not to have things work out the way you want them to. However, somewhere along the pipeline, your unfavorable experiences are seedlings sprinkled across your destiny waiting for the right moment to bud and to eventually bloom into something beyond your comprehension. You cannot go through life setting little to no expectations because you are not a machine that is vapid or nonchalant. You are a wholesome individual who is filled with ambition and drive, and you must personify these traits and welcome the fruit of success.
