A laugh in sea of sadness
I am drowning in my own madness
    My thoughts swirl around
Strangle me, to mute the sound

    Dancing shades of cyan dyes
That smile and those beautiful eyes
    Tickle me the very core
I'm sorry can't take, no more

To you, I owe a million smiles
    Dandelion fields and mystic isles
Don't set that gaze through the mirror
Your dreams and hopes make me quiver

It's the one I owe to my pen name. I'm so glad to participate in this challenge. I can finally share my love for dew drops and have a share in other writers' poetries as well.
    .........................................................................................

    From the immaculate waves
    Of the wondrous seas
    And the holy water of
    A sacred stream
    Mighty depths of the ocean
And that every raindrop in motion
    Over the tears of
    Any overwhelming emotion

I choose you the delicate dew drops
    Resting on the flower petal,
    Lingering on the miniature leaflet,
    Trapped between the hirsute peduncles,
Lost in the verdant grass fields
    Emerging through the coldest nights
    Like tiny tokens of delight
On beautiful days, balmy and bright

You the little crystal of beauty
    Embrace every hue and color
    Gleam with rays of hope
    Your pristine transparency
    Reflect unlimited joy
    Your existence is a prove
    Beauty is everywhere
    You just have to find
Even it's small like a dew drop
    Exquisite and fine

    Once when I was young
Sky was filled with sparkly stars
I'd dream of being one of them

    Once when I was young
    Raindrops spared my paper boat
I'd wish to sail, leaving behind a blue-note

    Once when I was young
My drawings had a shining sun
    Peeping through the mountain's run

    Once when I was young
I had a lot of friends
I prayed our friendship never ends

    Now that I've grown
    Nights are dark and quiet
Stars have hidden somewhere, no eyes looking for them

    Now that I've grown
    I'm drenched from stormy rains
    Petrichor reminds of graves

    Now that I've grown
It's me who wants to hide away
    Behind the mountain terrains,
I shall never be discovered again

    Now that I've grown
I have a lot of friends
I don't know where we decided the end

Now, its me the grown up lad
Stricken by the life too bad
I search for those tiny pleasures

Where I could feel alive again

    When I was
    young

  • dew_drops 16w

I am a lost wanderer on
    a spring struck street
    Walking down the aisle
    Hiding away from
    Sunshine's gleaming creeks

    The world is complete
    Without my presence
    The viridescent trees
    The bright and mellow
    Flowers blooming spree

    Until I the vicious intruder
    Spark a spell of despair
    Even the lushest of the
    trees go bare
    The scattered petals

    Are afflicted from wilt
    I keep on turning
    Every vibrant soul into brown
    Mahagony is the shade of
    Unbearable agony

    I don't have guilt or
    tinge of shame
I turn a land of beauty
Into a mayhem, all you see
    is amber, bronze, or ombre

    I carry along an unknown
    despondence
The one that rips you off
    From tenderness
    Welcomes to wilderness

It's a flip side of the world
I prepare you for the worst
    A tragedy unforeseen
An end to a beautiful scene
And a hope to a chance to redeem

    Unknowing, my autumn shades
    Reveal true colors of fate
It's a phase, a rough patch of life
A lesson and insight of fall

    The silky pellicle
    And mellow shades
    Of white and roseate pink
    Leisurely, blend into one another

    Seep from the apex
And embrace right at the core
To unravel rouge and carol-pink hues
    Just like the evening skies

Greeting nights or waving at sunrise
    These heavenly petals
    Obscure the delicate stamens
    Resting above the fervent anthers

    It's blooming radiance
    Creates a perfumed nectar
    That castes an enchanting trance
And beguiles thirsty bees to itself

It comes in like a rebellious intruder
And carries away its precious pollens
Flower is struck with dreadful pain
It weeps dew drops and bleed its shades

    In glimpse of eye
    It's a lifeless ornament
    Parched winds and sizzling heat
Blow it away towards the debris

It dries in despair and dies from grief
Little did it know, this breach
Is a way the world blooms
Cherish your own life, strive the gloom

    Just feel the breeze
And wait for the wounds to heal
There's only you, with distinct beauty
Even a part of you sown in soil
Can never have the same zeal
    Neither it can be YOU!

    Sun spilled its tangerine hues
The glided away to clear the view
One by one rays shone upon mighty glaciers
Glistening like a lost pearl_ precious
    Tiny droplets swung around the
    Rugged, parched terrain
    Frigid whirlwinds and cataclysmic gales
Made it hard for the droplets, nearly failed
The direction of the aureate gleam
Springing up through the blotting clouds
Kept its spirits warm and hope tender
Through the mushy ground and solid rocks
It goes through ups and downs
Now, the birds return and grass is green
It's no more a dream but a wild, river stream
It's a mystic land painted by drops and rays
The violet hyacinths, scarlet poppies and
    lemony buttercups
The vivid hummingbirds, beautiful macaws and vibrant peacocks
    Flutter around and chirp aloud
To pay their gratitude to the
    scattered rays and water waves

    Sun Rays

  • dew_drops 24w

The broken brush marks the last stroke
Twisted tube pumps the last blotch
For the final time the colors blend
Until the ears meet an uncertain blare
    He leaves the canvas awaiting
    While promising to return soon
The moon came and sun shone
It laid on the wet ground
It was then the rain poured down
The colors smeared and textures softened
The nature's elements checked on it often
Until discovered by a lost nomad
He found the path in its fading abstracts
    Created by the wind tracts
An art piece once created never dies
And a lost artist always comes by
No matter how distant they are
Each carries a part of their arts
One the soul and other breath
    Neither can live apart

    A wooden, rustic casket
    Held by many hands
    Tightly, carefully and firmly
Each grip banging on the wooden walls
    While stopping a beating heart
    Clenching the blooming dreams
    Caging the hopeful fantasies
Yet mourning for them to die
Will the wooden box speak for itself?
The textures will emboss the unfair?
Mourners will bother to hear the blares?
Or will they continue to weep
    Being the unknown murders
Will they fool themselves from the
    cries of the victim
    That they are mere noises
    Of un-needed freedom
Which are heard by them as a
    deafening silence,
far cry from being the truth
    But....
    Who makes them the jury
    To announce a life sentence?
Ah! So is it when the victim
    starts to make sense

    Subtle, euphoric symphony
Comes flowing from an unknown scenery
A harmony that accords with untouched
    emotions of my muffled heartbeats
A tune that strangles my breaking bones
And knit them into a firm skeletal shape
At the moment when the lyrics come along
A soul is blown into the mere mass of flesh
As soon as I dive into shore of its meanings
My scars look for remnants worth redeeming
Then my restless self searches for
The mystic musician and follows its screeches
Only to find a pied piper with an inked flute
Sharing a part of his life to reawaken the lifeless
Many more like me keep on following his melody
Until we reach a shore of words
That beholds pain's remedy and mighty poetry
And with a single leap of storming spell
    The master was unraveled
A light within its own darkened shadow
That cradles love and caress forlorn spirits
Hid a writer in its swaddle of pages
