    a Child

    Around me I see
    Mom cries silently
    And dad's always angry.
    My best friend struggles,
    Told me it's named anxiety.
    Another friend of mine
    Says she's fine
    But her mom told her
    She doesn't love her
    And I think that's why
    She's so mean, and
    It's why I won't leave.
    I wonder if my mother
    Said something similar
    To my sister...

    While it won't
    Be love
    At most.
    In the least,
    It may
    Be poetry
    At best.

    'Call Me by Your Name'

    When to meet a face
    Breathes life unto you,
    Then to speak a name
    Suits a taste of claim
As it rolls off the tounge
    And Grazes those lips
    (Departing the mouth) to be
    Echoed inside your ears
    - Your person lives
    In transcendence,
    Embodied
    By a word.

    For the unrequited

    We refuse to know
    How to fall in love.
    To be captured
    By another's arm
    Is easy, enticing,
    My god - exciting.
    We run into
    Their charm,
    This spell
    We wish
    Disarmed.
    Before the end,
    We'll reclaim our soul,
    Buy back
    Those parts
    We sold.
    Liberated
    In body and mind;
    I'd live the life
    That was
    First mine.

    What does love mean
    In a world fenced off
    For prevention and cure
    Of this love we are
    Meant to learn by the
    Mistakes of our own,
    In escaping their hold?
    Instead, held back
    By the barracades
    Of norms.
    Deprioritised to fit
    Some system we're told.

    But You embodied
    Nothing More
    than a Testament
    to Self-discovery;
    the First Proof
    of My own
    Boundless Love.

    My Poetry
    -My Sleeve.
    Skin
    on
    Skin.
    I'm Naked.
    You know
    Where
    My Heart
    Is.
    You know
    Where
    I
    Wear
    it.

    Season to season
    We battle in reason.
    Summer Autumn
    Winter Spring,
    We scorch in heat
    And freeze in defeat.

    I Melt, by the match
    of a single flame;
    With you, I shiver,
    at the slightest breeze.

    This dark hour
    -My winter plight,
    I dance under
    Your
    Candle light.

    Love is...

    Blind!
    They say?
    I see clearly
    My disarray
    In every day,
    Thought,
    Emotion,
    Branded
    In heart
    And mind.
    Intuition
    Aroused,
    Fully focused,
    I fall, behind.
    Spurn this
    Impulse aside.
    I mean, I Wish
    To be
    Blind.

    Taught not to cry,
They said to read and write.
I Learnt to read between the lines
and Bleed words on lonely nights.

    A Dreamer,
    I believed in her
    Gravitational force of
    Beauty with an open door,
    Closed off, behind your
    White picket fence
    They called life.
